May wedding; partner wearing kilt

Any suggestions about what to wear to a May wedding. My partner is planning on wearing a kilt. Should I try to match him a bit...or not?

Since I started going to weddings with DH , he has always worn his kilt we have been together 25 years. I have never once considered matching my outfit to his kilt & I am not aware of anyone else doing it either. With a black jacket I don't think you need to. I really don't think this is a "thing".

Haha....it's never crossed my mind before. I think it's because this kilt is quite bright I even thought about it

I think the only time I gave any real thought to DH's kilt was at our own wedding - we did decide to go with a single tartan for everyone in the bridal party and went for one which co-ordinated with the colour scheme but I couldn't tell you if someone else turned up in the same one.

We're renewing our vows (I know, a mumsnet faux pas) and it'll be clashing tartan all round :D
