Anyone else find it impossible to wear heels?

Today, due to rain, I wore high heeled chunky boots with my jeans, in order to keep jeans off ground (and avoid embarrassing upward creep of water). I ended up walking like this: imagine you are standing with legs together, then bend as if you are going to sit on imaginary chair - then walk forward.

I looked ridiculous.

Can't do it. Can't do heels.

No i can't walk in heels, to the point when we got married i lost my shoes and had to hunt them the following day.

Can't do it at all, always feel like my feet have been nailed to the floor and my back pushed forwards. I look like a terribke tranny p**stake

I think I look quite nice in them, but I can hardly walk and def can't do anything difficult like climb stairs.
I watch 'Strictly Come Dancing' open-mouthed in amazement - those people can dance in them and they don't even fall over!

Amadillo, SNAP!, Just cannot wear anything higher than 1 1/2 inches. Am obviously turning into my mum....

would never dream of wearing flat shoes for a night out or for any special occasion whatsoever

It's easy to dance in heels, particularly if they're the strappy sandal sort.

I'd also not dream of going for a night out in flat shoes.

Even kitten heels will do - in summer.

If the weather is really bad, heeled boots then!

Deportment lessons is what you need, laydees!

expat has got it spot on - in heels you have to consciously tuck your bottom in and stand up really straight to avoid the leaning-forward look - very ballet posture.

if I was going to wear heels they would be kitten ones. I'd never wear court shoes in a zillion years, they are so not me. I'm more an Ugg / trainer / flip flop sort of a girl. I do own heeled boots and shoes but the heels are all kitten or low and more on the comfy side than mad high and that's more than enough for me!

LOve heels but find them hard to bare for long periods.
Am currently hankering a pair of leopard print ones ,someone tell me they're too sluttish.

What would you wear them with?

i would rather cut off my feet than wear court or clumpy heels

although i love heels, i dont wear them all the time and i love my Uggs and trainers too. if im going out i only feel 50% dressed up til i put on my heels!

I also wear trainers - to walk for exercise - and walking boots, wellies, and other low heeled shoes.

But for going out, it's heels all the way.

Even to go to cinema.

I mean, this is going out w/my man or my gal pals and I like wearing heels and looking my best.

I love heels but sometimes look ridiculous in them because I am quite tall anyway - there is nothing worse than someone hunched up over a buggy in heels! I wish I was wee like NP

I'm 5'4 and heels make me look slimmer.

god YES heels take about 5lbs off you straight away

if i dont wear heels for a night out i get asked for proof of age

errr expat, I like looking my best too and I can do that without heels! I'm confident enough to know I'm sexy, cool and fab without putting on a pair of heels!
