Past volumes here.

I tried to post on the previous thread and realized that it was full.

Anyone still around?

I have a parcel from Korea waiting for me at the post office. Can't wait. Grin

Hubby is in a huge new lovely building so I'm not worried for his safety and his hotel is just next door. And since I'm holding the fort over here for most of the month the lovely sheet masks are my consolation Grin

I didn't know Mr Naruko was considered good looking in that kind of way. Confused but to each his own. Did you read about all that patting x 200 he recommends? But magine we all found the same men attractive???? Or women, of course.

That balm looks amazing. Could not use it personally because of the coconut oil. I'm still using DHC, Sulwhasoo oil cleanser, Caudelie oil cleanser and LRP toleriane when in a rush in the morning. But I too would love to find a balm cleanser w/o MO or plastics etc.

hollinhurst84 · 28/09/2016 23:32

My second deciem order has arrived Grin slapped both on my face. I should look 15 again soon Grin

botemp · 29/09/2016 08:40

He's leaving you on your own with the boisterous boys for a month in exchange for some sheet masks? Shock I take it back, LTB!

Thanks for reminding me about the DHC, ICI Paris was pestering me with pretty discount codes again so I might just get that since I've been meaning to get a beauty blender too hoping it'll work with sheerer bases. I'm sick of using fingers and brushes don't give as nice of a finish.

15 you say, hollinshurst? Hmm, you might just be in with a shot with the eternally youthful Mr Naruko Grin. I'm just going to ignore your not so humble joy with easy access to The Ordinary.

AuroraPolaris · 29/09/2016 09:05

Hollinhurst you are making us very envious! It's decidedly unfair! Don't forget to let us know how you get on with your new chemistry set Grin

Botemp you reminded me I also have some ICI voucher lying somewhere. Hmmmm, what shall I spend it on?

Apropos your question a while ago re Lancome Grandiose - I did order it when they had that big mascara discount but left it unopened until a couple of days ago since I had others on the go. Then I discovered I must have ordered a new version "extreme" of the original, and OMG what a volumizing mascara. It's so intense you actually have to apply it lightly to begin with, but one coat and a bit definitely gives (almost) false lash effect. I'm in love....

And don't worry, DH is coming and going through the month, but sadly not all his destinations are rich in sheet masks. He should have gone on to Japan now but is not. Haven't decided if I regret or rejoice in that ;)
Of course I could have asked for more things, I just got sick of checking INCI lists and seeing bizzare ingredients Confused

botemp · 29/09/2016 10:43

Although speaking of the Lancome Grandiose I was interested in that flexible eyeliner of the same/similar name and whether that is useful or just annoying... Crap this means I might actually have to visit ICI now.

I have to say of all AB the Taiwanese are the most exhausting to research as they tend to avoid a lot of the known 'nasties' but then replace them with even worse preservatives. Added to the fact they're pretty difficult to get hold of and not so internationally geared I kind of stopped looking beyond the masks and Naruko.

AuroraPolaris · 29/09/2016 18:35

Well the price of that mascara is nothing compared to the price of the fabulous Sisley concealer I've been coveting. That is definitely robbery at high noon Shock

Breaking news bulletin from Taiwan - it seems the L'herboflore ginseng mask is sold out in some places. Apparently the highest selling one at the moment is the HA biocellulose one. Wink

hollinhurst84 · 29/09/2016 19:36

Grin I took a bare face photo today so I'll do another one in a week or so and see

botemp · 29/09/2016 20:58

They sell the Sisley concealer at ICI Paris and it's still cheaper than my mascara even without the discount. Is it really any good? I've heard complimentary things but that was from people who got sent the product for free.

Poor DH, I can just imagine him slink from one shop to the next, pointing enthusiastically at a picture on his phone only to be told no in a half shout by not so friendly old Asian ladies. That HA mask looks interesting but alas fragrance...

AuroraPolaris · 30/09/2016 09:36

botemp I've tried the Sisley concealer a couple of times at the airport etc. It's purely for under eyes, I think, and has a unique salmon hue. It does look pretty amazing but of course I tried it over the other stuff I had on. I've been using the EL Double Wear for a few years and am pretty pleased (and you can layer a highlighting pen over it as well, if you've got the time), and TBH my under-eye area has not been as dark for the past year or two (don't know why?)... So to pay 70 euros or so for a few ml??? Just seems mad! Mascara is something else, obvs, because when you find something that suits your eyelashes the best....

Re the Beauty Blender you mentioned - I haven't tried one but did order the Zoeva 110 brush from Douglas a little while ago and it's pretty amazing (for base and concealer), if you like small brushes.

I really hope that Ginseng mask still turns up Hmm though he's bought some others already Halo

catinbooots · 30/09/2016 20:18

Hello

I've not been around since the first thread but am still loving AB

I'm about to order some Biore Watery SPF from Amazon (I have a gift card) but want to make it worthwhile and purchase a mini-haul Smile

Can anyone recommend a good Amazon store/seller that has lots of stuff as well as the Biore SPF?

LumpySpacedPrincess · 01/10/2016 08:01

Not sure about Amazon, I tend to use various sellers and they've all been good. You can get a lot of Cosrx stuff with one delivery which is great, I don't mind waiting if I can get it cheaper elsewhere though.

I love my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, it works perfectly and leaves lashes soft. The wand is excellent which is 80% of it.

KARMAisaBtch · 01/10/2016 09:58

So my friend gave me these :

Anyone who has used before? Smile

I haven't tried them KARMA but Leaders are genuinely well liked. I've personally never got on too well with Korean sheetmasks and with the whole hygiene scandal I've become even more exclusionary to the Koreans, unfortunately. The Leaders and Etude House are on the green list though, manufacturing everything in factory environments. I don't know about the others.

70 euros or so for a few ml?? I believe mascaras are even less mls but it's nice of you to try and rationalise my insane mascara, strangely it doe come in a cheaper version without the hair growing peptides at something like £45 but that I find ridiculous Confused. It has the unique combo of being the only non-tuber to never smudge on me, make my lashes look better than any other mascara, make them grow and well conditioned, and smells lovely of (real) roses so I'm loathe to give it up but think I will hold out for a SpaceNK offer.

I've heard a lot about that mascara, Lumpy, but I just can't get over the ridiculous name and packaging of those products call me shallow. Actually having now had a look at the wand, it's almost exactly the same as the eyeko Rock Out & Lash Out mascara. Now I can't remember which one it is but there's a Korean one I've been meaning to look up that you twist and the wand goes from that setting to another and it's supposed to be amazing for length, volume, and curl.

I actually have the little concealer buffer version of the 110, Aurora, but since my sensitive skin isn't all that fond of bristles on it I think a sponge might be the way to go once I get over the hygiene ick factor.

botemp · 01/10/2016 13:56

*generally not genuinely, although I suspect that's true too...

AuroraPolaris · 01/10/2016 15:17

Sorry haven't tried those masks either karma.
Cat I haven't ordered any AB from Amazon. I mainly order from top sellers on eBay and haven't had any problems yet.

Botemp - I didn't know the Chantacaille mascara had peptides and that's obvs a completely different ball game Grin not to mention the rose smell.....
I've also heard good things about the Better Than Sex but mascara is so personal. To each their lashes and one hears differing opinions on the same products all the time.

Hurrah, got a reply from Deciem!!! They will launch The Ordinaries inernationally at the end of October and then they will also ship to NL.

Got the Sulwhasoo GOA ampoule samples yesterday (little bottles totalling 30ml) and tried it yesterday evening and OMG! It's quite a thick gel consistency which feels amazing and smells even better than the other Sulwhasoo stuff I've tried. Going to try and use it every evening after HA to determine the effects.

HeyMacWey · 01/10/2016 15:23

I've just received delivery of the ordinary retinoid 2%. Am looking forward to slapping it on tonight.

I'm interested to see how the rest of the products fit together - it looks a little bit based on ab principles.

I've also just started using a vit c serum in the morning too after Hada Lado hyaluronic acid.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 01/10/2016 16:00

I got mine retinol today too HeyMac!

I've been using the C on bare skin and letting it do it's own thing, then adding my hydrators on top of that. Is the serum dependant on a low ph like other ascorbic acid products? I've been treating it as such just in case.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 01/10/2016 16:01

Which C serum do you have HeyMac?

HeyMacWey · 01/10/2016 17:16

I wasn't sure whether to put it on straightaway or after the HL.

I'm using the una brennon facialist one as I found it cheap in Tkmaxx. That was before the ordinary live was launched.

botemp · 01/10/2016 17:28

End of October Shock, I was hoping they'd start selling to us this coming monday Sad. My current Vit C won't last that long... I think I'm due a good flounce with everyone so gleefully receiving their Ordinaries hauls on here Envy. I did see strangely enough that ICI Paris will be selling Hand Chemistry (it's under brands, just empty for now) which I found interesting, it would be great if they started selling the Deciem brands here especially with all their mad continual discounts.

The Ordinaries does feel a little AB inspired, definitely the Niacinamide though I suspect that in Asia these actives are the same niche products as they are here. On the whole it feels a bit of a hybrid with the American dermaceutical brands eg. the HA+B5 by INCI alone appears to be a dupe for the Skinceuticals B5 gel, Paula's Choice just launched a Niacinamide booster, etc.

Lumpy there's a really good guide on when to use your Ordinaries products in your routine here, they suggest using their Vit C after water solutions.

HeyMacWey · 01/10/2016 18:05

I have to use the vit c in the morning as I've got niacinamide in the honey aio and the cosrx honey overnight mask.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 01/10/2016 18:12

I saw that botemp, they're bringing out 2 or 3 c serums in the near future too though I'm gonna stick with this one as it has the highest potency. They also have some nice acids, gah, so many nice things to choose from which I don't really need. Grin

botemp · 01/10/2016 18:36

Just follow my lead Lumpyand slap the acids and everything else on the body instead Grin.

They seem to keep adding things to the website the regimen guide linked above seems newer (I think or I'd missed it before) and then they also have the Vit C guide. I guess if you're new to actives it's quite a minefield but I doubt you come out any wiser without some contextual knowledge.

KARMAisaBtch · 01/10/2016 19:45

Ah, thought might ask you guys if it's alright to use,

Hmmm I am not sure if I will try it now tbh.

I am scared as I'm ebf at the mo, don't know if it'll give any allergic rxn.

OR Am I just being paranoid? Lol

LumpySpacedPrincess · 01/10/2016 19:52

I read that earlier, I'm a bit obsessed with Vitamin C!

I'm not starting the retinol tonight, I've just tried a new acid from these people

I'm just layering up on the moisture tonight, Gokujyun premium hyaluronic, Cosrx snail 96, Malin and Goetz Vitamin E cream, Cosrx Rice pack and some Body shop oils of life. I'll probably chuck some Holika Holika red wine jelly on top just before I go to sleep.

It's all about the hydration baby Grin
