Underwhelming?

Fug. Everything but the (very ordinary) houndstooth skirt and capris

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/04/2016 20:45

Having looked again, I do like the cable neck jumper but a) I don't like navy much and b) the neck is too high. I do like the fact that it is cotton.

GooodMythicalMorning · 13/04/2016 20:45

yuk to all of it. It all looks very badly fitting. Its just not nice either.

Floisme · 13/04/2016 20:55

Actually it could have been that skirt Remus Grin

I was quite surprised when she said she shopped there but maybe it doesn't have the same connotations when you're 29.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/04/2016 21:39

I liked the Lydia skirt but it's gingham rather than hounsdtooth (so more school like fabric)

It is really really naff the entire collection. I would consider myself to be a typical M&S Customer, this does nothing for me.

Trills · 13/04/2016 21:42

I've never really thought of ALexa Chung as wearing nice things.

I've always thought of her as wearing things that look nice on her but would look rubbish on people who are not built like a gazelle.

Trills · 13/04/2016 21:44

This woman's face!

She's just saying "why am I wearing this?"

What is wrong with the sleeves? The last photo on the site for the same jacket looks like a very sad, tragic clown.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 13/04/2016 21:50

Oh dear. My eye was drawn in horror to the Asda blazer. It was about 20 seconds before I realised it is in fact the Ada blazer.

ouryve · 13/04/2016 21:57

What's with all the barely arse covering skirts? They don' even flatter the model.

And this reminds me of a pie.

ouryve · 13/04/2016 22:02

I see it reminds everyone of a pie.
The white version reminds me of those frilly things you put on the bones in a rack of lamb.

originalmavis · 13/04/2016 22:11

I've never forgiven m&s for changing their tadziki recipe and adding dill instead of mint. Dill!!!

MayhemandMadness · 13/04/2016 22:12

If any of that was reduced down to a fiver, I still wouldn't buy any of it. Dreadful.

Kenworthington · 13/04/2016 22:28

I liked the blazer and also the trench coat. But I think that was the colour I was drawn to, would ideally like it to be a Bit longer that was it for me. Disappointing

specialsubject · 13/04/2016 22:34

so what has been 'designed' about all these hideous 1970s clothes? They don't even fit the models!

and why do the models have to slouch and adopt a 'brains vacuumed out' expression?

Shockingundercrackers · 13/04/2016 22:39

mavis has it in a nutshell.

M&S "collections" are the dill of fashion. Probably a fun idea in a forward planning meeting - but missing the point completely in real life. Tadziki needs MINT and M&S need cardies. And straight legged jeans (in indigo) and the perfect black capri pants, and lovely comfy bras in sensible sizes, and shift dresses in plain colours with no crusty bits... and I could go on.

stealthbanana · 13/04/2016 22:40

It's awful. She's failed to distinguish between things that look good on her and things that the rest of the population could feasibly wear.

Shockingundercrackers · 13/04/2016 22:42

Yep. If even the model looks crap in this stuff (sorry model) then what hope have we...

LarryStylison · 13/04/2016 22:52

I like the playsuut, and the prices are reasonable.

But in general, meh

FujimotosElixir · 13/04/2016 22:54

Oh dear :o ive never "got" alexa chungs popularity Confused

tabulahrasa · 13/04/2016 22:58

If you put the Harry blouse with the effie skirt and the cardigan....you'd look like any from Big Bang theory...

tabulahrasa · 13/04/2016 22:58

Amy that should be

YaySirNaySir · 13/04/2016 23:23

Looks like M&S forgot to feed the models with their delicious ready meals.
Shoulder blades sticking through the back of that Harry blouse it's not a healthy look.

squoosh · 14/04/2016 01:03

The houndstooth trousers are quite nice, But everything else just looks like the contents of a 1970s lost property box.

ZaZathecat · 14/04/2016 08:17

I prefer dill original
