Light day time sweet perfume recommendations?

I'm looking for a new perfume and don't know where to start.

I like quite sweet perfume, but wasn't something not too overpowering and headache inducing for casual day wear.

I've liked Mont Blanc Legend and Armani Si, Lacoste Touch of Pink, Flowerbomb .. But they're a bit too sweet for daytime casual.

Chloe Roses.

Try Kenzo Amour as well. It's sweet as has vanilla in but is also quite a unique fragrance (well to my untrained nose anyway!)

Hatefeelingdown · 09/04/2016 20:26

I like Legend too, but it's too strong for day time. I've tried SJP Lovely, but it wasn't to my taste. I write like Very Irresistible, might try that again,I used to have a sample.

I'll try the others too.

And Molton Brown have a new Ly of the Valley fragrance out if you want to go the way of sweet white flowers.

ShinyShinyShiny · 09/04/2016 22:05

Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey or English Pear and Freesia are both lovely.

Hatefeelingdown · 09/04/2016 23:06

Thanks for the suggestions, I've got lots to try Smile

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot · 10/04/2016 16:09

If you like lily of the valley, then try Diorissimo.

Hatefeelingdown · 10/04/2016 17:01

I'm actually not keen on Lily of the valley. I don't really like floral scents.

I managed to get hold of a sample of Bronze Goddess and it's lovely but doesn't last very long.

MustBeThin · 13/04/2016 10:01

I can still usually smell it on my top at the end of the day before I put it in the wash but I was always told that if a perfume suits you, you can't smell it on yourself after a while. Don't know whether it's true or not though. Grin I love Bronze Goddess in the spring/summer. I've had a few compliments when wearing it.

Hatefeelingdown · 13/04/2016 23:22

I've got hold of a few samples to try. Quite liking Daisy, Bronze Goddess as I said, Boss Woman .. Also got a few more to try.

dontcryforme · 13/04/2016 23:29

Zara do an inexpensive and gorgeous one called Rose.

mumsnit · 14/04/2016 09:15

I've got Bronze Goddess - bought last year after seeing a thread here where everyone was raving about it Grin

Agree it doesn't last long but the bottle is huge (100ml) so you can reapply often.

Smells like expensive sun cream to me - pure summer!

Ferrerotoffeemint · 14/04/2016 09:20

Decadence by Marc Jacobs

Flanderspigeonmurderer · 14/04/2016 09:24

Ralph by Ralph Lauren is lovely or Gucci flora, I like sweet perfumes too.

LBOCS2 · 14/04/2016 09:26

Oh, I've got quite a few of these so it sounds like that's the sort of perfume I like too!

Seconding Flower by Kenzo, Rose by Zara, Nectarine Blossom and Honey by Jo Malone.

Also try Floral by Paul Smith or BOSS Orange for women - both of which are quite cheap online at the moment.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 14/04/2016 09:26

Tart's Knicker Drawer by 4160 Tuesdays is sweet and lovely.

Hatefeelingdown · 15/04/2016 02:26

Thanks, I'll look into those too.

Daisy is quite nice, but not very sweet.
