Light day time sweet perfume recommendations?

ThisIsme2 · 07/04/2016 03:52

I'm looking for a new perfume and don't know where to start.

I like quite sweet perfume, but wasn't something not too overpowering and headache inducing for casual day wear.

I've liked Mont Blanc Legend and Armani Si, Lacoste Touch of Pink, Flowerbomb .. But they're a bit too sweet for daytime casual.

My fruity light daytime cheap perfume is Sarah Jessica Parker NYC

Only1scoop · 07/04/2016 14:57

Chanel Chance tendre

YSL Black Opium is nice and sweet.
The black glittery bottle is nice too.

Indecisivejo · 07/04/2016 16:14

I wouldn't say black opium is sweet it's quite heavy and musky to my nose

ThisIsme2 · 07/04/2016 17:12

I tried one SJP, I think the first one, and found it a bit soapy.

I think Black Opium is a bit heavy for what I'm looking for.

Maybe a better description would be slightly fruity and sweet, without being overpowering and sickly. Not soapy, not just fruity.

I'm another one who wears Daisy by Marc Jacobs...

MustBeThin · 08/04/2016 16:07

My main daytime perfumes are

Daisy - Marc Jacobs
Nuit - Hugo Boss
Roberto Cavalli
Bronze Goddess - Estèe Lauder.....I think this one is released spring/summer every year so you can't buy it any other time.

I would second Jo Malone. Orange Blossom and Honey is beautiful. Very light and perfect for day time.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 08/04/2016 16:52

Daisy Eau Fresh is very wearable IMO.

Shelleymoon · 08/04/2016 18:36

Doh! I meant NectarineBlossom and Honey

thecatfromjapan · 08/04/2016 18:41

Chasse aux papillons by Artisan perumeur?

Tuberose and gardenia by Estée Lauder?

Both tuberose/white flowers. Not so fruity but sweet - not cloying.

thecatfromjapan · 08/04/2016 18:47

How heavy is Botega Veneta eau de toilette (I've not worn it in an office)? Would that be light enough? It has staying power. It's not sweet, sweet, sweet but sweet enough, with a leather kick and a groomed edge.

thecatfromjapan · 08/04/2016 18:48

Actually, ignore that last recommendation. It's a lovely perfume but I don't think it fits your brief.Smile

lemonade30 · 08/04/2016 19:30

Beautiful

daisiesinthespring · 08/04/2016 19:32

Daisy is my favourite.

Also love Flower by Kenzo

ThisIsme2 · 08/04/2016 19:38

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll going to go into town and try and find some of them for testing.

I think I've got Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey as a sample, I'll look for it.

Prada Candy ?

Greenfinger555 · 08/04/2016 23:50

Lady Million, Paco Rabanne. Lovely and not too overpowering.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 09/04/2016 07:04

I'd go and sniff the Acqua Allegorica range from Guerlain, or send for some 4160 Tuesdays which are generally fairly sweet.

mumsnit · 09/04/2016 19:42

I love Mont Blanc Legend too! It's so powerful though I can't wear it to work so I generally wear one of these ones:

Givenchy 'Very Irresistible'
SJP Lovely
Viva La Juicy
Bohemia by M&S

All quite sweet/floral scents.

RipMacWinkle · 09/04/2016 19:47

Another vote for Jo Malone Nectarine blossom and honey. I've also had Flora by Gucci, I think it was gardenia or magnolia. Which was lovely too.

DanceTheBlues · 09/04/2016 20:01

Daisy by Marc Jacobs and Lady Million are my go-to day perfumes for spring and summer.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 09/04/2016 20:05

I think you would like Chanel Chance Eau vive
