Harems/smart joggers

So I haven't yet dipped my toe in this pool, but I quite fancy the idea. I work in a casual environment, so would like a pair that I can wear for long haul travel, the school run and also for work.

I've been looking at the Hush harems and joggers and would like to know opinions, or alternatives. Because I plan to be able to wear them outside of the house, I need the fabric to be decent quality, so am willing to pay a more than New Look prices if necessary.

I'm a similar size and ordered the size ten, they were fine, maybe a little big but they should be. Hush sizing is very very generous. I'm a 10-12 and take size 8-10 in Hush.

Mine have arrived but I've not had time to properly assess them. DH didn't look impressed and I am a bit concerned that my (really pretty small) bum will look enormous. They're certainly a generous fit (I got a small and am a solid 10, and I'd say they're on the big side). Will properly assess tomorrow and report back.

Can i ask, are these the harems or the monaco trousers you are talking about. Was thinking about ordering the harems myself :)

I ordered the Monaco ones - they are the ones I was referring to in this thread so far.

I have previously ordered the harems too, they went back immediately. They were huge on me, and very long. There was so much material between the folding waist, the length and general style of them, they looked like clown pants on me.

I bought the hush ones in blue as I thought they'd be ideal as comfortable day wear while I was pregnant.
Put them on for the first time and thought I looked a bit odd, but wanted a second opinion so asked DH.
He was bemused that anyone would think they were "real" trousers, as they looked so much like pjs. Admittedly, I wear yoga pants as pjs, but still...

I'm torn about getting another pair of Hush harems this summer - I've got an arse to rival Kim K but not the rest of her figure to match so they're not the most flattering option. But they are so damn comfy!

HazelMcWitch · 25/03/2016 08:21

The Hush ones are gorgeous. So comfy. Come up big, but I don't mind because that makes me feel thin.

If you're anywhere near Westfield today - the Gap ones mentioned further back are in the sale, right down to £14.99 plus another 20% off the sale price. I've bought four pairs 2 x Khaki, 1 x Navy, 1 x pale blue "denim". They're really comfortable and flattering. Maybe on sale in other Gap shops but not sure.

The Gap ones reduced to £15!? I'm glad I'd already decided to send them back! The cut was ok, nothing special (at least they were long enough - I ordered the longer length) but I didn't like the Tencel material. Too slippery.

I found myself a very nice replacement pair today - in Sainsbury's, for the princely sum of £8. Good length, not too baggy, and nice and soft Smile
