Thanks shop

Karcheer · 20/02/2016 15:45

Thanks shop

MarshaBrady · 20/02/2016 16:44

Karcheer you've bought lovely stuff, it should really help with the casual day to day stuff. Buying things you love you wear often is a good way to go

Thanks Dream

What do people think of this shape of Lanvin? I'd have to try them on, they could be spectacularly ugly unflattering on. Or.. they could be comfort + height + summer. I think they are probably bad fashion = good fashion if one can make then work (which may not be me).

MarshaBrady · 20/02/2016 16:45

Shop great news on the relaxed dh!

AmberNectarine · 20/02/2016 16:49

They're almost identical to my Chanel pair I wear loads for work Marsha, so I like them!

Karcheer · 20/02/2016 16:50

marsha they look a bit too closed in to me. I think they'd look frumpy.

MarshaBrady · 20/02/2016 16:51

Oh that gives me a boost Amber don't feel like I'm off track so much now. Just whether I can wear them now.. will try them on

MarshaBrady · 20/02/2016 16:52

Or perhaps so Karcheer (great x post Grin)

AmberNectarine · 20/02/2016 16:55

It's all about how you pair them - they don't work with nice shift dresses - I wear mine with shortish a line skirts or wool city shorts and tights.

Drywhitethanks · 20/02/2016 16:56

Right, I'm keeping the menu simple tonight. I'm not doing pudding but a great cheese board with figs, grapes, fruit cake Northern thing, delicious and posh chutney..6 cheeses, out of fridge already so they're nice and gooey later........nice bottle of red. Marsha your DH is welcome to pop over Smile

I'm definitely going to wear my red Boden suede laced shoes.....not sure what else.

Haha what do I know!

MarshaBrady · 20/02/2016 17:07

Dry he's on his way Grin. Sounds gorgeous

That sounds really good Amber, the only problem is I'd need a flat pair for skinnies still, as that styling sounds like the best way to wear them

AmberNectarine · 20/02/2016 17:07

I do wear mine with skinny trousers but I don't wear jeans to work so I don't have that issue.

MarshaBrady · 20/02/2016 17:08

Let's help you out Dry what do you fancy wearing?

Karcheer a lot!

That cheese does sound very good, thinking about it some more, thankfully Ocado is bringing some tonight

MarshaBrady · 20/02/2016 17:08

True, I wear skinnies every day nearly to work

Drywhitethanks · 20/02/2016 17:16

Marsha probably black skinnies or my dark wash jimmies ....... A cream or black sleeveless top and a big cuff bracelet probably.

Hello, had a lovely day. Only bought a jacket (will lnk later) but tried lots on. Haven't been shopping with dm for ages and had forgotten how honest brutal she is Grin. Went to a different town and had a lovely time mooching around different shops. dry saw your dress and it's lovely.

marsha love the goldy silver lanvins. I had some a similar colour years ago that I lived in until they literally fell apart (sainsburys rather than lanvins). Love the jumper for you too. Also love the heeled shoes (love the topshop ones too) but worried they may be a bit too on trend and look dated quickly.

karcheer great buys. I used to be like you and hate spending money on casual clothes but I do now (helps that the dc are older so less chance of getting ruined) and it does make more sense when you spend all your time in them.

Had better think of getting ready to go out. Cocktails and tapas. What to wear....?

QueenC · 20/02/2016 18:40

jacket. I had one a couple of years ago until I realised the shoulders made me look like an American footballer. This one fits much better so I know will be worn lots. Dm bought it in navy.

I have a question-not for me but related to dm so think woman in 60s. If you were going to a wedding in a navy/white spotty dress with a navy jacket, what colour shoes and bag would you have? We have different opinions so will be intetested to see what others say....

Karcheer · 20/02/2016 18:51

Red.

Karcheer · 20/02/2016 18:52

Actually tan or nude I think.

Drywhitethanks · 20/02/2016 23:28

Irrespective of age ....any bright or nude.

Red shoes....looked awesome but ooooooouuuuucccchhhhhhh !!!! Ok because I suffered but soooooo glad to take them off.

Morning!
Back late last night from a great week skiing. Completely non style and beauty on the fashion front but it's been nice to be outside with blue skies and sun. I love a deck chair outside a mountain restaurant with a vin chaud!
Having bought a few bits for the holiday I don't think I'll be buying much until the warmer weather arrives other than I do want some leather trainers maybe Stans or Superstars so I can get out of boots at some point. Quite fancy silver and white but need to have a good look.
Battle of the washing now commences, back down to earth.......

QueenC · 21/02/2016 09:17

Morning. vegas nothing like 10 loads of washing to bring you back to earth with a bump.

So glad you've said bright or nude shoes as that's what I think but dm wants navy shoes and bag. I think she needs some colour.

Time for fantasy shopping so get your coffee......

QueenC · 21/02/2016 09:22

gorgeous
