Any nice sparkly/sequiny tops out there?

I saw someone wearing a lovely grey long sleeved sequiny top. Now I want one just like it. In grey or navy. It's the sort of thing I see everywhere when I'm not looking for it but can never find when I am. It doesn't have to be very dressy but just enough sparkle to dress up a pair of jeans for Christmas. Thanks!

This one I got. It's not grey. I then looked in the loft. I've millions of these. Angry

I've ordered the Whistles Annie sparkle, thanks Higge

Higge · 20/11/2015 09:00

Smile I just ordered another one - Whistles, the sneaky devils sent me a code last night for 20% off and it was just too tempting. Blush

lurkingabit · 20/11/2015 09:27

Love that Brenda. They had summat similar in H&M a couple of weeks ago. Hang on

Floisme · 20/11/2015 09:30

No I'm not going to ask about that Whistles code, no no no.....

I've also seen this in Jigsaw. It's a bit chunkier than the Whistles jumper and the sparkles are a bit more full on but it's not scary like that H&M one. And they do grey. It does cost about a million £s though, sadly.

Can't find it

Floisme · 20/11/2015 10:17

Do you mean the Jigsaw link, lurking? Let me try again:

Oh that's gorgeous Flo! Exactly why I don't visit S&B so often... Yet here I am..

The H&M jumper was similar but a dark blue and I think the sparkles -they weren't sequins- were blue too. Thought I'd get a chance to go back but never did.

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 20/11/2015 11:30

I have one from h&m 2 years ago identical to that jigsaw one, still going strong.

Boredofthinkingofnewnames · 20/11/2015 11:32

Oasis has some nice ones at the moment

Floisme · 20/11/2015 11:44

Happy to be of service, lurking Grin

I've got an old H&M too that's still a favourite but I can't see one that's right this year. They're all either way too full on sparkly or they're too chunky and high necked or they have a V-neck that reaches down to my navel.

Colourmylife1 · 20/11/2015 18:51

Ooh! I love the Jigsaw one. I don't know if I can justify the price. It would have to be amazing on. I'm going through a divorce and it's my first Christmas on my own so I may have nowhere to wear itSad. The M&S ones are nice too.

Oh Colour
Flowers
Never mind justifying it, can you afford it?

lurkingabit · 20/11/2015 20:02

No need to justify Colourmy. It's a lovely top. If you can afford it, get it. Your year is probably more than enough justification anyway. Flowers

BrendaandEddie · 20/11/2015 22:58

Jigsaw one is vile

mrslebon · 20/11/2015 23:07

The Jigsaw one is pretty in real life, but very, very delicate. Will be a nightmare to wash.

Colourmylife1 · 20/11/2015 23:50

I probably can afford it this year but not next! I don't know if that's a good enough reason to buy it now! Thanks for the flowers. It has been quite a year. It's a sign of progress that I spend as much time on S&B
as in relationships though.

I think I'll aim to try Jigsaw and Whistles one one to see which suits me better - if eitherGrin

What is it you don't like about the Jigsaw one Brenda?

Colourmylife1 · 20/11/2015 23:59

Sorry for typos. That should have said on Relationships now

I rejected the jigsaw one in the shop because it looked like it would be unflattering on big boobs - I think it would look great on someone skinny - I think the champagne looks much better than the grey.

SuperFlyHigh · 21/11/2015 10:01

H&M sometimes do some amazing sparkle Knits...

I've got a great metallic Massimo Dutti knit top from a few years ago and a Sparkle and Fade silver/black jumper.

The Whistles ones look great as provided you look after them they won't date.

Floisme · 21/11/2015 10:51

Sorry I forgot about boobs. The Whistles ones are fine knit so probably better than jigsaw.

What colours do you wear instead of black, op? I gave it up in my 40s - about 90% of my clothes were black at the time so it was quite a struggle but I look much better for it now.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 21/11/2015 11:08

Love the M&s one Brenda. Haven't looked through all yet but what a great thread!
Got this in Therapy at House of Fraser for DD last week - will deffo be borrowing it!
Drapes really well on our her GGs Smile

Yseulte · 21/11/2015 11:57

This is a jacket rather than a top, but dirt cheap:
