I really really need some comfy warm ankle boots - the only ones I can find that even half fit this description are Black Bailey Bow UGGs. But they are FUGLY! Aren't they? Would I be mad to spend £180 on some ugly boots?

I need ankle boot suggestions please !!

dylsmimi asked same question as me about wearing the Grandles with skinny jeans. Thanks for the reply - that you tuck the jeans into the boots. Anyone ever do anything else? Do you and other Grandle owners think they come up too high for it to be possible to wear them with rolled up jeans?

Thank you!!
Right that's it I am convinced!!! New boots it is!! - darn you op !!! Angry Grin

Cointreau- you will after a few wears when they start to slope to the right and look disfigured and make you look like a teenage chav.

Itsthecircle - DD1 (14) has been wearing a pair of the Costco boots since last winter, and they're still as straight as a die. I think it's the non-sheepskin ones which collapse. They are amazing for the price, I have to say.

I don't think they would work with rolled up jeans no - they come up as high as regular Ugg boots (if that gives you an idea).

polyhymnia · 22/11/2015 00:24

OK so it's tuck the jeans in then if I do go for the Grandles.

Little update. I ordered a few pairs of boots to try on, and my favourites were the grandle and the ugg maddox ones. In the end, I went for maddox and I LOVE them. Wore them out last night shopping and felt like I was walking barefoot on a fluffy carpet all evening. (I also ordered a pair of timberland biker style boots but they don't compare to uggs for comfort - although they looked lovely)

Mine are too small -waaaail! I'm a 4 so ordered 4.5, but also wide of calf, so could get them on but couldn't zip them up on right leg, they haven't got 5s.

Krampus I have the Merrell Decora Chant in black and whilst the actual foot fit feels true to size and incredibly comfortable, the ankles are a killer. I have quite slim ankles but I found the fit to be quite tight and unfortunately wore them for the first time when taking DS to a football match by train so couldn't go home to change them. By the time we got home my one ankle was rubbed raw, when I checked inside the boot the stitching was rougher on that one that the other. Walking on wet floors was treacherous too so I don't know what they'll be like on snow or ice. Shame really because they look great with skinny jeans, hopefully they'll ease with wear and the help of blister plasters.

Love my ugg simmens, which are a waterproof biker style - really comfy and waterproof. I've had the pure sheepskin style in the past but they are rubbish in the wet and the soles can be a bit slippy.
