What is this unusual perfume I should have bought in Duty Free? Very few clues, sorry!

I want one of the MN perfumistas (or indeed someone who works in Duty Free) to tell me the name of this perfume I should have bought about a year ago in duty free. Here are the (laughably few) clues. You will indeed be a perfume genius if you know what I'm on about. Grin

  1. As I said, on sale in Duty Free, possibly Heathrow.

  2. I'd never seen the range before, and I mooch around Duty Free a lot. My memory from talking to the assistant was that it was a newish range for them. Definitely not your standard Chanel, D & G, Hermes etc etc.

  3. Descriptive quirky fragrance names eg Smoke and Leather (feeling a bit Jilly Goolden now Grin)

  4. I think the range was someone's full name, and possibly a woman, but v wobbly on this detail.

  5. Quite masculine packaging. Almost certain the range was unisex.

And over to you...

There are some Chanel ones that I've only ever seen in duty free - I quite fancied the Sycamore one. Hang on I'll see if I can link....

I love Sycomore, I'm always buying samples of it!

TonyMaguire · 10/11/2015 15:29

Definitely not Tom Ford, sorry.

Arf at Melanie. I like the sound of the Sycomore one.

The names were slightly more eccentric than the Tom Ford ones. Sorry, I know I'm not being helpful. Grin

Diptyque?

Miller Harris?

squoosh · 10/11/2015 15:36

Or what about 4160 Tuesdays

TonyMaguire · 10/11/2015 15:41

Don't think it's Demetier, I remember the packaging wasn't so pharmaceutical.

Ooh, it's the same sort of thing as 4160 Tuesdays, but I don't think that's it.

Jo Malone? My scent of hers is Peony Blush Suede. The bottles are square clear glass with cream labels, black writing. Any help?

AuntieStella · 10/11/2015 15:48

Could it be Shay and Blue?

Not one of these is it? www.fragrantica.com/designers/Etat-Libre-d%60Orange.html

TheSpottedZebra · 10/11/2015 15:52

Are the quirky names, names of fragrance notes? Or are they odder than that?

TheSpottedZebra · 10/11/2015 15:53

Or Juliette has a gun ?

whatlifestylechoice · 10/11/2015 15:53

Serge Lutens?

Sansoora · 10/11/2015 16:07
