What colour eyeshadow for green eyes?

I have green eyes and since forever (am 40) I have been wearing brown shades on my lids. During the day I wear a pale gold/bronze shade and for going out I tend to stick to similar shades but a bit bolder/darker.

I'd like to wear something else for a change but no idea what. Can anyone suggest what other colours might suit? And recommend an inexpensive brand please?

I think silvery grey looks amazing on green eyes just as brown looks great on blue eyes....

MaryBerry it's obviously her.... Good you have lovely eyes...love that colour on you...but you're quite young. I don't think just anyone can get away with a colour like that. Not over a certain age anyway.

I don't think it's the colour so much as how you wear it sometimes... Cranberry/red often needs black liner to avoid the myxomatosis look Wink
My friend wears a flicked liner in red and it looks fab, but awful on me

I'm posting on my phone so can't see any of the pics - so annoying! I am actually now looking forward to work on Monday so I can check the thread again on my pc! (don't work Friday's)

Am definitely going to have to try some silvery/grey and plum/purple shades

Ok so this is an eye of mine. Created on #17 glam rock.. Have used the purple, white and dark grey.. For eye liner used brown rimmel..
Excuse the eye brows as they need sorting.

purply pinky colours look good on green eyes. I have green eyes too, and i also wear shades of brown as its easy

The Laura Mercier caviar stick in Amethyst is gorgeous with green eyes. Very wearable too.

"Learn make-up color theory using color wheel with Robert Jones'. It makes great sense.
Essentially you should be looking at wearing coppery, plummy or brown shades.
