**BIG NORKERS** Report back on the Warehouse dress (NDP)

It arrived this morning. I've tried it on and it looks fab. The neck hole is a wide enough slash to balances out the high neckline. It is purple, it looked inky blue on my laptop screen, in fact it is like the colour of the Cadbury's choccie wrappers. The silk is really delicate but the fit isn't skin tight so the lumps and bumps are flowed over rather than clung to.

All I have to do now is find the shoes....

Thanks btw to Jackie who pointed out loads of shoes on my other thread. Having seen the dress in the flesh none of those linked to were quite right

Oh good - glad it works. It is lovely. So what sort of shoes do you think? You said high, spiky heels, I think?

NomDePlume · 23/11/2006 11:55

Yes, the dress is v demure so I can get away with sexy shoes

What colour? Black? Silver? Strappy? Courts? Enough questions??

TheHighwayCod · 23/11/2006 11:58

go i k love it
may have to go and look
i tried on theri glittery gold tunic anf ootless tights and the whoel of south wilthsire collapsed in hysterics

NomDePlume · 23/11/2006 11:59

Not sure about black really with the colour of the dress. But feel free to link to some if you find fab ones .

Metallics are good, would prefer silver to gold tones.

I'm more comfortable in court syle stilettos but strappy wouldn't be a prob (so long as they aren't too strappy - you know the ones, 2 bootlaces at the toes and one around the ankle/top of the foot).

bronze

TheHighwayCod · 23/11/2006 11:59

nailey had some for a purples dress

NomDePlume · 23/11/2006 12:00

Cod it really is gorgeous. Much more subtle and sexy and much less fashion-victimmy than the stripey number with footless tights

TheHighwayCod · 23/11/2006 12:01

god god gdo
i have mno reason to wear it
what sieze did you get

NomDePlume · 23/11/2006 12:01

Bronze is a good compromise. My worry is that metallic shoes look cheap, but bronze is subtle enough not to, I think

a 12 and it was quite generously cut. I could prob have got away with a 10 (am 5'7", 32E/F, about 10 stone)

next shoes alwasy good imo

NomDePlume · 23/11/2006 12:05

A bit worried about ankle straps though. I think ankle straps can make even the most dainty ankle look like a cankle

OP posts:
TheHighwayCod · 23/11/2006 12:05

sold out anwaywy

NomDePlume · 23/11/2006 12:06

I have reasonably good ankles but ankle strap shoes imo only look good on those with very fragile ankles. Plus the dress is on the knee length so will the ankle strap make my legs look shorter ?

OP posts:
TheHighwayCod · 23/11/2006 12:06

yes prob

TheHighwayCod · 23/11/2006 12:07
