My HD brows are hideous!!

Ok so after 6 weeks of growing out my overplucked brows I have today had HD brows done after seeing everyone rave about them.

They are awful!! My eyebrows look like really dark, huge flat slugs sitting on my face.

Not only have I paid £25 for this monstrosity but I have no idea how to even fix them now. The stylist just kept saying I need to grow more hair in pointing to sparse patches where hair has never existed and then coloured them in (with what looks like a sharpie) to hide them.

My daughter lovingly declared that I look like a villager from minecraft, I have no idea what that is but I can't imagine it to be a good look.

I blame mumsnet for making me believe this HD hype. Will try and get some pics up so you can see how awful they are.

Happenstance HD is not semi permanent tattooed. They are threaded. Waxed. Plucked and tinted and drawn on.

Mine are semi permanent tattoo which I posted pic of and we'll they're a tattoo lol.

Addtobasket I'm in south West England. I'm sure there are places in your area that do it. They draw them on for you first to.make sure you like them before going crazy with the tattooing lol x

HappenstanceMarmite · 31/07/2015 00:18

Thanks tvlover

goodasitgets · 31/07/2015 00:26

I think it depends what you wanted. I like mine very defined and have a thread and high def tint (no makeup involved)
This is mine about a day after they are done

Cheesymonster · 31/07/2015 10:20

goodasitgets your brows look amazing.

Truckingalong · 31/07/2015 11:18

Don't thin them out or arch them OP. Arching is passé now, dontcha know! Thin, arched brows are ageing.

StatisticallyChallenged · 31/07/2015 11:26

TV lover and goodas, both lovely. OP, I think yours are a bit under-defined. They don't look like HD brows to me tbh, I know someone who does them and would have expected more of an arch

MameHootieBench · 31/07/2015 11:28

Will that Rapid Brow stuff grow hairs where there are none? I plucked my brows too far apart years ago and would like to encourage more growth at the inner end.

squoosh · 31/07/2015 11:30

Castor oil is great for encouraging eyebrow growth.

goodasitgets · 31/07/2015 13:33

If anyone is in the north west mine are done by mask brow bar in preston. Nobody else touches them Grin

GraysAnalogy · 31/07/2015 13:38

^ is that the one in St Georges? If it is I've been there

goodasitgets · 31/07/2015 13:39

Yep that's the one (small world)

ladygracie · 31/07/2015 13:42

I think they look absolutely fine.
And I love that the first response helpfully included a photo of a minecraft villager!! (Which you look nothing like obviously!)

tossedsalads · 31/07/2015 17:16

Off topic but tvlover I have serious skin envy! Yours looks flawless, what is your secret?!

LavazzaLover · 31/07/2015 17:30

They don't look filled in. They actually look like they need to be done.

Use a brow pencil to do them yourself. I don't like these slug brows. Use what you have and fill them in.

Ledkr · 31/07/2015 17:38

What is the difference between hd brows and just normal shaped and tinted ones?

GraysAnalogy · 31/07/2015 17:41

It just depends on how they do them really, I suppose for some people HD isn't different to how their stylist does them

HD is a company with specific training on how to do the brows. They wax, thread and pluck as well as tinting. They also have products you can buy (which are fab) to maintain your brows. They last a long time too.

MsBojangles · 31/07/2015 21:00

Panic ye not, they don't have that vaguely tranny look that most HD brows do, bonus! That very defined, high arch is a bit dated now - fuller, straighter, more boyish brows are in, they're much more youthful looking than an overly groomed Kylie brow.

Bet you'll love them in a day or two when you've got used to them.

GraysAnalogy · 31/07/2015 21:38

Dont mean to be an arse, but 'tranny' is a bit offside really don't you think.

tvlover1234 · 31/07/2015 21:48

Tossedsalads I use tea tree products! Boots own make. Wash. Toner. Day and night moisturiser x

tossedsalads · 01/08/2015 10:59

Thanks tvlover .....I have to go to boots today so will be getting some of that! I have combination skin so that should work ok.

tossedsalads · 01/08/2015 10:59

And great that they're not too expensive!

tvlover1234 · 01/08/2015 11:02

Tossed I have combi skin also. It's. Anightmare to find good products. X

TheseventeenthSixteen · 01/08/2015 14:09

I think they look great. Not like HD brows which really can look crayoned on, but just like nicely shaped, full brows. I'd swap!

Lezprechaun · 02/08/2015 17:27

I'm getting used to them now, although am going to ask for more definition and slightly thinner next time. I usually have them arched yes and while I want them thicker I feel my eyes look heavier with them so straight.

The pics posted were with the tint on and filled in by the way and she is definitely HD yeah she had the certificate up in the room.

If she is HD then my faith is restored. They suit and frame your face completely. They look groomed ( not hyper-Towie groomed) and are neat and youthful. I likey.
