My HD brows are hideous!!

Lezprechaun · 30/07/2015 15:40

Ok so after 6 weeks of growing out my overplucked brows I have today had HD brows done after seeing everyone rave about them.

They are awful!! My eyebrows look like really dark, huge flat slugs sitting on my face.

Not only have I paid £25 for this monstrosity but I have no idea how to even fix them now. The stylist just kept saying I need to grow more hair in pointing to sparse patches where hair has never existed and then coloured them in (with what looks like a sharpie) to hide them.

My daughter lovingly declared that I look like a villager from minecraft, I have no idea what that is but I can't imagine it to be a good look.

I blame mumsnet for making me believe this HD hype. Will try and get some pics up so you can see how awful they are.

Ok I think your right I have just got too used to tiny brows. Will leave them alone and see how I feel about them in a few days.

I think they look fine, your picture was not what I was expecting.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 30/07/2015 17:29

I think they also look fine and not bad at all.
However, I do think she could have given you a bit of a better shape, not sure if it's just me but it looks like she has drawn a straight line where you should have a slight arch?

Also agree with a pp why do eyebrow hair never grow back the same??

MamaLazarou · 30/07/2015 20:08

They look smashing. Don't arch them, please! Fuller brows are much more flattering - you just need to get used to the change.

TheHappinessTrap · 30/07/2015 20:35

I would love to have your eyebrows op, they look great. Try leaving it for a while and see if you grow into them. You've worked so hard to try it out it would be a shame to lose that in an instant reaction!

WendyTorrance · 30/07/2015 20:39

I think that they look nice. I've had disasters at the Benefit Brow counter before now. I'm fair and wanted lightish eyebrows. They ended up black. It was awful. I was washing my brows with Head and Shoulders several times a day to try and fade the colourHmm.

I'd have been chuffed if my brows looked like yours OP!

minibmw2010 · 30/07/2015 20:58

They're fine, honestly! Plus don't forget they'll fade quite quickly. In fact I've seen HD brows done before when frankly they look like they were drawn in with black marker, these are fine !!! I would get them tinted next time if you want colour on them, plus if you have bare patches that'll work well as the tint catches on the skin too. Plus I use Rapid Brow (from Boots, £35 but so well spent !!) and it's made a massive difference to my brows. Took about 6 months of putting it on morning and night (it's just a clear liquid) to really notice but it's great.

Monica101 · 30/07/2015 21:05

They are fine, not even as thick as my natural brows!

I really think you're just not used to them so you think they look huge when they really aren't. Leave for a few weeks and see.

TSSDNCOP · 30/07/2015 21:10

I think they look a little wide but overall ok.

Seriously my niece had hers done and she might as well have had eyebrow written above each eye. Took the breath away bad.

Did laugh at minecraft villager though Grin

Littlepumpkinpie · 30/07/2015 21:38

They look natural and suit you.

tvlover1234 · 30/07/2015 21:42

I actually like quite an intense brow but not slug like. I love a good arch! Mine are actually semi permanent as I'm no good at make up at all. Yours look great. Not slug like although she could have defined your arch a little more which probably would have gave a less chunky feel x

My HD brows are hideous!!
VixxFace · 30/07/2015 22:15

It's not the HD brows it's the way they have been done. Try somewhere else.

VixxFace · 30/07/2015 22:17

Just saw the picture. They definitely aren't HD brows. Where did you go? Was it someone listed on the HD brow site?

HuftysTrain · 30/07/2015 22:20

They look completely normal to me. I think mine look like that. Maybe I'm not normal!

hashtagwhatever · 30/07/2015 22:26

Were they dyed too?. The first night after having hd done my brows are like I've drawn them on with a felt tip. Yours just look like brows after a normal threading.

TV LOVER, your's look fab. Smile

tvlover1234 · 30/07/2015 23:41

Hash tag thank-you. Best investment ever!! I used to have HD which cost me 30 a time. I then found a lady who done regular wax and tint and they looked exactly same as HD should if not better. Costs soon started to add and the tint didn't last long of my brows so I looked into semi permanent tattooing for aaaaaaaages and decided to take the plunge!!

In real life if you look closely they are actually tattooed as hair strokes so look natural and not block felt.tip lol xx

WaggleBee · 30/07/2015 23:58

Thank bollocks everyone thinks they look ok as my natural eyebrow colour and thickness is similar and I was worried for a moment there. I spent years growing these babies back, I'm not tweezing then into oblivion again.

They look like normal eyebrows imo. Those thin, really long, black ones that people get are too much. I think you've just got used to having none there.

This stuff is amazing for growing eyebrows back. It's £££ but it does work, m.boots.com/h5/cat_hub?unCountry=uk&path=/en/RapidBrow-Eyebrow-Enhancing-Serum_1252036/

WaggleBee · 31/07/2015 00:02

Ah I see Mini already recommended the rapid brow stuff. It is really good. Smile

AddToBasket · 31/07/2015 00:03

tvlover - can I ask where you got them done and how much they were? They look great.

tvlover1234 · 31/07/2015 00:08

Addtobasket I had them done in a salon in my hometown.(she's very well known and brilliant). It is pricey at first. £120 for first treatment and then a top up treatment of £70 12 weeks later. they then last 1-1.5 years and you just keep getting the 70 top up then on. Where in UK are you?

AddToBasket · 31/07/2015 00:11

I'm in Scotland.

HappenstanceMarmite · 31/07/2015 00:12

Wagglebee does that stuff make your brows grow longer, but not thicker? I used stuff in lashes that made them long but spindly Confused

are HD those semi permanent tattoos?

Whipnaenae · 31/07/2015 00:13

They are very straight, which makes them look harsh. Do you normally have more of an arch?
