Mine are slowly deteriorating. I care for them religiously during the summer, but once the socks and boots come out they go into neglected hibernation until the spring

MrsDoolittle · 21/11/2006 18:22

Oh yes.
I recently managed to pick a spherical bit of hard skin out of the ball of my foot. It left a perfectly circular hole.
How did that happen?

laneydaye · 21/11/2006 18:22

Go get a pedicure... or some of those plastic sock things you put on after creme.....

Tutter · 21/11/2006 18:22

have angel feet in the summer

but shocking hooves in the winter

tis only 2 months since my hols but they look like they've never seen a file/tube of moisturiser in their lives

Go for a pedicure then it will be really easy to look after them. I dont get special foot cream I just use whatever I am using on my body. Every other day is fine for maintenance I find

DelGirl · 21/11/2006 18:24

I had, but I slathered them in acqeous cream for about 3 days. Literally put loads on and then socks on top and they're quite smooth now.

Tutter · 21/11/2006 18:25

mrsd - reminds me of a little scratchy thing i could feel on my back for aaaaaaages years and years ago

was really pissing me off so i got my flatmate to have a look

after much prodding and poking she pulled out this thing - like a long splinter but bendy

she was repulsed but loved it really

still don't know what it was

laneydaye · 21/11/2006 18:35

I have a tube of Flexitol as per Cod's instructions before the summer. I just hate the way it makes my feet feel slimy, so I never get round to doing it.

Noone else gets these round hard bits of skin. My sis use to get them between her toes - she put corn plasters on them and they came out.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/11/2006 19:23

i have awful feet and also....

Athletes foot.....

its blardy sore too.

Foot cream with wee in it?

TheHighwayCod · 21/11/2006 19:35

LadyTophamHatt · 21/11/2006 19:42

They do Flexitol hand cream now too.
My hands are worse than my feet ATM.

I...er....shave my hard skin off now and my feet are (almost) transformed.

satine · 21/11/2006 19:45

MrsD - aren't they corns?
My mum used to work at Scholls in Knightsbridge in the 60s and has lots of tales about the feet of people like Sean Connery and Twiggy! (and she still does a mean pedicure!)

MrsDoolittle · 21/11/2006 19:45

Now I couldn't do that atall, just thinking about it makes the hairs on my neck stand up.
For a long time I couldn't bear the thought of anyone touching my feet, I don' know why.
It took ages and ages before I would even let dh touch my feet and even then if it has been a while I will be extremely jumpy. Much to his intense annoyance

MrsDoolittle · 21/11/2006 19:46

That's what I would have thought, but do you get corns on the soles of your feet??

satine · 21/11/2006 19:47

Hmm, I don't know. I'll have to consult my mum!

LadyTophamHatt · 21/11/2006 19:58

yes, you can. I have them there myself.

I asked my mum to get me some corn plasters in the wekly shop (I was still living at home) and she presented me with a packet of cornish pasties instead

TheHighwayCod · 21/11/2006 20:42

corns are merely lumps of hard skin
i get them ont he corner of my toe nail wher the dsses oft choose to stand

BUT i haev chicken feet skinny an dlong
