I just took receipt of a japanese sunscreen, sun bears strong spf50PA++++. I was shocked at how small the bottle is, its teeeeeny - 28ml! My fault for not checking before I bought , but having said that it is very cheap (£4) compared to LRP, ultrasun etc so not complaining.

Its a combination sunscreen, physical and chemical and has no alcohol so maybe one to look at if biore isn't quite doing it for you. Im wearing it today and its ultra lightweight and no white cast Grin

NewsreaderChic · 12/08/2015 15:44

Mowglik that sounds good, maybe you just got a travel size?

I've had some Hado Labo delivered today, what am I supposed to do with it?

lucysmam · 12/08/2015 16:18

mowglik, that does sound good. I'm adding a replacement for the Skin Food one to my list so will look it up.

News, Hada Labo goes after actives (and a First Treatment Essence if you use one), it helps your other hydrating layers get sucked into your skin.

Wombat, I have pm'd you but just in case you don't see it - thank you for all the samples you chucked in as well as the sleeping pack, I'll do some sampling after the weekend is out of the way Grin (& I need to know where the note cards are from too!).

My hormonal spots have gone right down but are all red and angry looking Angry

Thinking of adding AHA's and BHA's into my routine as my skin has taken in the nipfab pads, hada labo lotion , Vit C and sleep mask well . still awaiting starfish returning gel ... Could I have some recommendations for AHA'S and BHA's please , Tia

Apart from one that always crops up in exactly the same spot Hmm , Little, none of them feel like cystic ones. It's just bloody typical it's happened this week when there'll be family photo's galore going on Sad

Never mind, I'm trying to keep everything going near my face as calming as possible. So lots of aloe, green tea, snails and propolis going on. I am going to apply a tiny bit of fucidin as well tonight to the cystic one, hopefully that'll help it off on it's merry way.

newsreader I think this is the full size and I've read elsewhere that Japanese sunscreens are really tiny. I guess I'll be more likely to carry this around and use it in the day as no way would I cart a full size British sunscreen around in my handbag. Price per ml is still lots cheaper than my ultrasun one.

Short review on ratzillacosme here

mowglik · 12/08/2015 20:58

And apparently only US $2.85 if you buy direct from Japan Envy

jackie, the COSRX blackhead/whitehead 7 liquids are popular bha/aha products.

IIrc, Mizon do an aha peeling gel but according to Reddit AB it's hard to get hold of atm (rumour of re-formulation).

I'm heading up to bed now but will dig out some of the links I have saved on my phone for you tomorrow - it might take a while, I have a gazillion cupcakes to swirl frosting on and decorate Smile

Someone else will probably be back before me Grin

CoconutAmericano · 12/08/2015 23:17

Any of you ladies tried Korean cleansing oils? The only cleanser i can use that doesn't make my face feel tight is ultrabland from Lush. I've been looking at The Face Shop cleansing oils.. Just wondering if anybody has tried them?

CoconutAmericano · 12/08/2015 23:29

Apologies, I see oil cleansers have been discussed above Blush

Thanks for that littlechina. I'm just sick of buying creamy cleansers that strip my acid barrier. Even the sensitive ones.

proteins · 13/08/2015 10:31

These studies:

Solar exposure(s) and facial clinical signs of aging in Chinese women: impacts upon age perception

and

Effect of the sun on visible clinical signs of aging in Caucasian skin

make me want to blow my entire skincare budget on sunscreen.

And perhaps a Tatcha sun parasol as well in for a penny, in for the pound Grin

lucysmam · 13/08/2015 11:07

Just having a quick break -I saw the parasol too but I can just imagine the Hmm looks I'd get round here. It's not the best area once you step out of our estate.

LadyErrant · 13/08/2015 11:15

Coconut I bought the body shop cleansing oil recommended above yesterday and used a discount code via vouchercodes online- I got 35% off making it a little over £7. I think the code is valid for a few more days if you're interested and it works online if you can't get to a store.
I tried it last night and this morning and really like it so far. It goes against everything I'm used to as I have an oily t-zone and normally go out of my way to avoid anything oily on my skin but I'm impressed with how clean my skin felt after using it and double cleansing with micellar water. It smells beautiful too!

proteins · 13/08/2015 11:16

It's certainly not a school run job! Grin

This is a good demonstration of why you really do need sunscreen.

Hi all, I've returned to work and spent a few days in another Scandinavian capital. Apart from a few restaurants, the only Korean thing I saw there was a story on Korean cosmetics in the local version of Elle. Lots of minimalist clothes and design, grey everywhere, even in childrens clothes, I bought my DDs very chic grey outfits. Had an enjoyable time, wish I had been able to explore more but spent most of my days in the conference wing of a hotel. I flew there just with a light backpack, no space for billions of bottles so very much looking forward to getting back to my routine!
