Gerti I use Neutrogena and other sunscreens on my neck and arms and body, still on my first bottle of Biore. I really like it but Missha sunscreens are nice too.

V quick post from the Cote D'Azur before the data costs cut me off!

Had a weird experience a couple of days ago while oil cleansing. Loads, and I mean LOADS of grits (sebaceous filaments). And mostly nearly- blackheads and true blackheads too. I've never had that many come out before. My skin wasn't particularly congested apart from the usual places (nose & chin), but now it's baby-smooth and the blackheads round my nose are gone. The only thing I've changed in the last couple of weeks is the Goodal Waterest Oil - which does not feel at all like an oil, more a v light serum/essence. But gosh, it's good! Since then I've had more coming out each time, but not as many as the first time because I reckon my pores are clearer. Anyway, fab stuff!

I really want to make the shark sauce too, my skin is crying out for it as I have a bit of PIH from the skin infection I had. I love DIY stuff so will get what I need when I get back from hols next week.

Btw it's BAKING here. I'm not too good in heat and while 34 Celcius is not that high in comparison with some temperatures, without air-con it's too hot to sleep. Or move. I'm wearing a cap, rash vest and lots of sunscreen when out on the beach and in the pool. Ultrasun on my face because it's the best for the conditions, Bioré or LRP won't cut it here, I need heavy duty. Greasy as hell but a dusting of No Sebum deals with it nicely. Doesn't break me out either, which is a bonus.

I am reading all your posts but have run out of brainpower to respond. The heat. Oh god the heat.

cardicollection · 19/07/2015 15:10

Hi went to a chemist today and bought hada labo perfect gel (tiny tub) to test on my skin, it says can be also used as a sleeping mask - could anyone tell me what that means and how to do it? I forgot my list and was meaning to get the moisturiser.. oh well

lucysmam · 19/07/2015 17:15

I have literally just realised this - I started my new pill packet on Monday. Usually, when I start a new packet; I get a huge cyst on the bottom of my chin at the right hand side and one on my right cheek. Always both are pretty much in the same place.

I've just realised that neither one has popped up this time Shock

lucysmam · 19/07/2015 17:26

cardio, pop some on...sleep...rinse off in the morning. The sleeping pack should 'lock in' your other layers so your skin is nicely hydrated when you wake Smile

XiCi · 19/07/2015 17:44

Ooh what are you all doing to get all these grits out, I'm fascinated . Is there a special method?

mowglik · 19/07/2015 18:19

Oo SS thanks for the heads up on the waterest oil - I've ordered and am waiting on that so I'm looking forward to using it now! Ever since I got those 3 or 4 grits I've been planning the nexr time I can do that routine again and maybe get more out.

Also tried the miss flower and Mr honey hydrogel sheet mask on thurs night and it was really good, it's a gel sheet rather than a fabric sheet so moulds itself really well to the face. Skin looked a lot brighter after use so looking forward to doing another one of these next week to see if I can replicate the effect

frugal my favourite products at the moment would be the Bioessence Aqua drops sleeping mask which I didn't like at all at first, laneige sleeping mask, Tosowoong tea tree essence (still early days) and my scheming sheet masks

mowglik · 19/07/2015 18:22

XiCi I used the pore clearing method detailed on fiftyshadesofsnails blog, in a nutshell it's apply BHA, wait 25min, apply clay mask, wash off and apply cleansing oil leave for 15 min then massage in for 2-3min whereupon you should get some grits exiting your pores. I didn't get many - not sure what that means :/

Will link later!

XiCi · 19/07/2015 18:36

Thanks mowglik, I'll try that later!

wickedfairy · 19/07/2015 19:48

Hi Mowglik, if you could link to the "grit removing" instructions, that would be appreciated! Have been meaning to ask....

FrugalFashionista · 19/07/2015 21:17

I think this is the grit-busting protocol from 50 shades of snail.

Doing my evening routine a bit sloppily - so many people, so much going on.

D'oh, grit-busting link here

lucysmam · 19/07/2015 21:27

I'm currently reading through the ELI5 thread on reddit - am half tempted to try a bought vitamin c serum to see if that produces faster results than diy. But then again, maybe it's just a case of time...

Anyway, one that has been recommended (and mentioned that it doesn't oxidise particularly quickly) is Melano CC vit c serum - anyone have any experience of it?

I went for a Savers mask tonight - no leftover essence this time for a mask tablet to soak up & I managed to rip it a bit

wickedfairy · 19/07/2015 22:06

Thanks for the link Frugal, I must try that!

Am sure I have quite a lot of sf on my nose/chin...

lucysmam · 19/07/2015 22:34

Where are you all buying your LJH tea tree from? I'm lacking a serum for my evening routine and am considering this.

lucysmam · 19/07/2015 22:35

I think I need a low spend August Grin

GrinAndTonic · 19/07/2015 22:47

Austerity measures August perhaps Lucy

Grin I went on a bit of a shopping spree as there were some bargains to be had.

Thanks for the link Frugal I haven't been leaving the oil on long enough so maybe that's why I haven't had any grits.

rubyshoes3 · 19/07/2015 22:49

How fast has this thread moved..
I was on the 1st and 2nd and it's already on the 4th.

I came across a new subscription Korean box/pouch that is for UK and Europe. I have preordered their first box which will be out in September. I really do not need anymore products but I could not let it pass me.
www.kawaiipanda.co.uk/ This is a link for them. I found them on Instagram they go by the same name on there also.

lucysmam · 19/07/2015 22:54

Yes, I think so Grin Grin

Tbf, it'll give my parcels chance to catch up with me and I'll be able to see anything I'm missing plus save up - maybe for a winter 'haul' of sorts and a wishlist for dp for Christmas.

I'm intrigued by Avecko too so might look into trying them. I presume if I pay 'correct' shipping amounts and any larger parcels are not marked down, that customs would not be interested in it unless they were to randomly pick parcels to 'spot check' or the like?

lucysmam · 19/07/2015 22:57

There are a lot of kawaiipanda's on Instagram - what's their picture?

Also...there are no clickable links to their boxes on your link...I could be tempted since it's still July I could pre-order Grin

I want to know if anyone can tell me where I can get the Skin79 hot pink bb cream from. I brought a sample from ebay and really like it, but now I have read that there is a lot of sellers selling fakes. So I wanted to know if anyone knew any reputable sellers or if they had brought this bb cream.
