I don't know if that link will work! I've ordered it, I may or may not be very premenstrual Blush I do however what could kindly be termed as eclectic taste when it comes to style. It is widely accepted I am like a tomboy style bonham Carter. But I fear even I may have gone too far this time,....

Helena would pull that off quite well with big biker boots and wacky jewellery. You will wear a slip type thing underneath won't you?

Either that or your 18 and can get away with just undies with it?

It'll be fine on a beach - or with either a full length or trousery thing underneath ...

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 15:14

Yeah no sadly I'm nearly 40 and on the fatter side , that's the trouble I have no clue what to wear under it- in the cream of white or what colour??? I do have nice boobs though. Perhaps leggings and a massive cool bra??? How long or what colour would the slip need to be do you think???

OP posts:
AmelieinOz · 08/05/2015 15:15

It will be fine with a slip underneath. And maybe not to the mall.

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 15:15

But glam for the beach non?? Am also thinking I will wear it back to front.....

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 15:16

Well you're not all killing yourselves laughing yet so... Win win! Still time though...

I thought I'd be all kind of boho sexy for my hols next week!

OP posts:
Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 15:16

It'd not I'd

I think it could be cool and quite versatile. A slip underneath could make it very elegant but denim shorts and a crop top (I'm assuming its looseish) would make it more funky!

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 15:20

How long should the slip be? And the same colour or different??

FadedRed123 · 08/05/2015 15:25

Have you bought the white one,Flora? You could get married in it - that would make the Vicar blush... Blush Wink

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 15:27

Haha! Oh god! Yes, black AND white. What the heck came over me? I'm gonna look like some mad Virgin bride and mad goth bride

Well i can be truthfull or lie.
Its awful on anyone and any age.
Far too much on show.
With a slip it will look too dressy.
with anything else, untidy and like you are trying to hard.
There are much nicer things out there for the price.
Im not trying to be unkind, just if i saw someone wearing that i would think it was er....over the top.
Im 47 and wear hundreds of things i probably shouldnt so i have an open mind.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/05/2015 16:37

It's v hard to tell without seeing a pic but I honestly can't see it looking great on anybody except maybe Miranda Kerr, or somebody like her. And it would be v hot and scratchy on holiday anywhere warm, let alone if you then shove leggings and stuff on under it.

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 16:58

Hmmm it's not looking good is it as well as the fact I'm already questioning myself. Which I don't as a rule. But prob should. I think I was channelling this....

But obv she is younger and a bit of a beaut...

It's a strong look OP...I think the only way forward is a spaghetti strap slim midi length slip or basic dress under so you can still see the pattern on the bottom section of the skirt - try Primark or H&M for cheapness to see if it works. I'd go black under the black and maybe a bright yellow or other contrasting colour under the white.

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 17:03

A strong look eh? I DO like a strong look FauxFoxGrin

The blog you've linked too is very stylised - it'd look totally different if she was out and about doing something, rather than posing for a photoshoot.

I don't think it's an age thing. I'm 24 and in okay shape, but I wouldn't wear it. I'd either wear a bikini, a bikini and a cover up that looked less itchy, or an evening dress. I think the poster who said that it's a bit much with a slip and far too weird on it's own had it right.

Have you tried them on, though? It could look very different on you, and if you like it and will radiate confidence, that makes a big difference.

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 17:06

Yeah no I've just ordered it online. So not yet tried on. May not even fit. I've had a horrible couple of days and in a Moment of madness accidentally ordered them! I was thinking more to wear in the evening than the daytime. I have no doubt my friend will be utterly horrified by it

OP posts:
almondcakes · 08/05/2015 17:07

The one the blogger is wearing is not as transparent and has buttons on the front, meaning you could layer it with jeans, strappy top etc. I can't really see what you would wear with the other one.

saturnvista · 08/05/2015 17:07

Honestly OP, I'd cancel the order. I just cannot see it working.

saturnvista · 08/05/2015 17:08

Unless you're very tall and thin which you say you are not...

Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 17:11

Well I'm tall. And kind of hourglassy....

OP posts:
Fierceflora · 08/05/2015 17:13

Def not thin though no. But did I say I've got good tits?? I have.

OP posts:
burnishedsilver · 08/05/2015 17:21

Hmmmm. I have my doubts about them.
