stuckonchapterone · 04/05/2015 13:19

StellaAlpina It doesn't necessarily have to be 10 things a day, just 10 things you want to achieve / do more of Smile

OP posts:
Karbea · 04/05/2015 14:54

Had Mexican last night too many nachos!
Parma ham and melon and a very small Danish and two coffees for breakfast.

Wherestherealme · 04/05/2015 15:25

Can i join??

I have spent the morning sorting my box of products out, i now have them closer to hand so im not routing though them all. I have painted some nails to stick on later. I will have a bath later and use my gradual tanner, foot cream, hand cream and put my rollers in Grin

Wherestherealme · 04/05/2015 15:40

My list

  1. stick to weight watchers
  2. take vitamins & anti depressant everyday
  3. bath at 4 times a week (obviously shower inbetween)
  4. face mask, de fuzz, hair treatment 4 times a week
  5. have hair down more not in messy topknot
  6. make an effort when getting dressed
  7. take better care of my skin luckily i dont suffer with spots but my skin is grey and dull and i have dark circles
  8. stop being so negative and down on my self (hopefully as my diet improves and i start looking & feeling better it should fall into place)
WellHurrahAndHuzzah · 05/05/2015 07:35

I'm in!
My list is for the whole of May.
1: Drink lots of water
2: Moisturise whole body every day
3: Cut down on booze
4: 30 day shred sessions at least 5 times per week.
5: 1 x 500cal fast day per week
6: Book in for a haircut
7: Sort out feet (considering footner?)
8: Try out a yoga class
9: Make a conscious effort to stop chewing the skin round my nails
10: Get in the habit of showering in the evening instead of morning. This will help me to remember to take my eye makeup off, and will give me lots of time to cleanse, moisturise, pamper self afterwards instead of just throwing clothes on!

First day back at work after the bank holiday. How's everyone getting on so far? X

Cecyhall · 05/05/2015 07:53

My list

  1. Be under my MFP calories every day
  2. Exercise at least 4 times per weeks
  3. Cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise twice a day and mask twice a week
  4. Wear my hair down more and look after it, maybe even learn to blow dry it properly but that might be stretching things!
  5. Grim but I need to file my feet regularly, they are a mess and I have bought my first pair of proper sandals in years this year so need to sort them
  6. Look through my wardrobe and start wearing stuff I don't usually wear
  7. Body oil or cream every day
  8. Keep my nails in good order, even if just painted clear, good shape and neat
  9. Sort out and sell the jewellery I dislike and that doesn't suit me anymore
10. Try to find time to do a guided meditation at least twice a week

I have a holiday in a few weeks so some things might not happen that week (probably point 1!) and also my uni essays are due in the same week, but I think that it is achievable to be getting on with!

Everstrong · 05/05/2015 11:18

Ooh me please!

Have neglected myself a bit lately, need to get back on it for summer!

Here is my list:

  1. Drink more water- currently have about 2 glasses a day and millions of cups of tea
  1. Moisturise each day, my arms and legs are like rhino hide!
  1. Pedicure each week
  1. Intensive hair mask once a week (and a trim!)
  1. Exercise 3 times a week (currently not exercising at all....)
  1. Stick to my calorie goal on MFP stop sneaky chocolate and crisps
  1. Take supplements daily
  1. Less alcohol. I look bloated and puffy at the moment.
  1. Early night twice a week. I'm terrible for watching crap on telly even though I am knackered.
  1. Up my veg intake but they don't taste nice
Musicianofbremen · 05/05/2015 12:01

May I join? DH took the worst photo of me ever yesterday. I know I can look good it just takes a monumental effort.

Here are mine:

  1. Wash and style hair properly
  1. Apply and remove make up properly.
  1. Eat clean
  1. Aim for 8 hours sleep a night
  1. Whiten teeth (have all the kit just need to do it)
  1. Bodybrush and moisturise elbows knees etc daily.
  1. Keep finger nails in check. Must stop picking my cuticles!
  1. Sort out feet. Am going to buy knock off footner I think.
  1. Some kind of exercise 5x a week. (Have booked a pilates class for
tonight)
  1. Stop doing things that make ME feel bad eg hours on facebook (have deleted app from my phone) or going to toddler groups I know I won't enjoy (took DS to the museum this morning and he was just as happy). I think this is the most important step for me.

Good luck everyone!

SomeKindOfDeliciousBiscuit · 05/05/2015 17:37

Oh fantastic - can I join you? I've been really ill with asthma for ages and just dragging myself about, but I've had two good days and feel like a new woman. I've invested in good skincare and haircare stuff today so I'm already prepared!
My 10 aims:

  1. be in bed by 11pm every night
  2. do the Eve Lom cleansing every night, complete with face massage, then moisturise
  3. drink at least one jug of lemon and lime water every day, ideally two
  4. aim for having a go at the shred every day - if it's too much for me, go for a little walk or try some wii fit
  5. use loofah mit and moisturise feet every day
  6. shave legs every day to stop my preschooler complaining they are spiky Grin
  7. work on 5 fruit & veg a day - always achieve 3
  8. get up earlier - 6.30am ish - and wash & style hair in the mornings, including heat defence spray
  9. prepare my clothes and our daughter's the night before
  10. try to eat small portions of everything

Hurrah, hurrah Smile

WhiteConverseSkinnyJeans · 05/05/2015 20:44

  4. fake tan once a week

  5. at least 5 a day fruit and veg

MamaLazarou · 05/05/2015 21:14

Susocrem face mask? What does that do?

I am up for a bit of princessing. Can't think of ten things though... Will be back!

3littlerabbits · 05/05/2015 21:41

Ok I'm in :)

  1. 5 a day
  2. 30 mins exercise a day
  3. floss teeth more often
  4. body brush each day
  5. wash and moisturise face before bed
  6. no crisps
  7. no biscuits / choc except weekends
  8. avoid Facebook
  9. turn off phone before bed
  10. 2 litres water per day

If I can manage this lot I will be so pleased with myself!

Everstrong · 05/05/2015 21:42

Musician love the idea of staying off Facebook. It always makes me feel crap, especially yesterday when one of my friends tagged me in a picture taken at a friends wedding. The other 3 girls in the picture look great, I look tired and chubby Sad

My toddler said to me: "mummy you have whiskers like daddy" the other day so I am feeling your pain SomeKind wish we could install a filter so that they say only flattering things!

I've had a good day today- drank lots of water and herbal tea, put an intensive hair mask on, moisturised all over, took my supplements and am now going to have an early night.

I nearly made my goal on MFP then I ate 4 biscuits (why oh why!) but that's the packet finished now so there's literally no treats left in the house. I've made myself a health packed lunch for work tomorrow so hopefully that should help.

I didn't exercise either but I hoovered the entire house (inc stairs) and cleaned all the skirting boards today so I am claiming that as it's better for me than sitting on my arse watching telly

3littlerabbits · 05/05/2015 21:43

Today bad as just seen this thread. Tomorrow will be better!

  1. 5 a day (3 today)

SevenEleven · 06/05/2015 07:09

My aims are:
Drink more water
Look after my feet
Do nails regularly
Cleanse properly before bed, not just a face wipe!
Eat more fruit and veg, less crisps
Up exercise to 3 times per week
Try to wear something mor exciting than jeans, vest top and card I combo
Get hair back to health after colouring disaster (hairdresser, not me!)

StellaAlpina · 06/05/2015 10:32

My list:

  1. Do my morning yoga
  2. Eat yoghurt
  3. Eat more vegetables
  4. Try to have less meals based on 'things I can have on bread/toast'

  8. Do 'groomy' things - e.g. get eyebrows done

lavenderhoney · 06/05/2015 18:06

I love these threads but I'm hopeless at keeping going, however I will try.

  1. Drink more water
  2. Do the low carb bootcamp thread and not fade away:)
  3. Stand naked in good light in front of a full length mirror twice a day to motivate myself.
  4. Cut down on alchohol
  5. Body lotion every time
  6. Dedicate one night a week to nails, face, etc
  7. make sure all my beauty cleansing stuff is accessible and not scattered round as dd has been having a go with it.
  8. Stop wearing jeans everywhere
  9. Ditto boring flat sensible shoes
10. Stay on this thread.
MsBojangles · 06/05/2015 18:20

Think I'd rather be a Prince, bet it's less work.

3littlerabbits · 06/05/2015 21:48

How's everyone getting on? Proper day 1 for me today.

Did calorie counting on My Fitness Pal - what a shock! I was aiming for 1200 calories but had them all eaten by lunch time. Ended up 580 calories over target Blush. Had a twix too. I didn't think I are that much either compared to normal so shows how much I am overeating generally. Going to cut down more tomorrow.

  1. 5 a day (5 today)
  2. 30 mins exercise a day (nope)
  3. floss teeth more often (done)
  4. body brush each day (done)
  5. wash and moisturise face before bed (will do)
  6. no crisps (done)
  7. no biscuits / choc except weekends (fail - 1 twix)
  8. avoid Facebook (fail)
  9. turn off phone before bed (will do)
  10. 2 litres water per day (fail)
TimeGoesBy · 07/05/2015 15:34

I'd give myself a C- at best so far

  1. 5 portions of fruit/veg per day (averaging about 3)
  2. no biscuits/chocolate during the week (Failed miserably)
  3. bring a healthy lunch to work to avoid buying junk (did this)
  4. find an excercise class (joined gym for 3 months)
  5. de fuzz and moisturise post shower (did bikini line, now have ingrown hairs!!!)
  6. give myself manicure/pedicure weekly (painted toenails while drunk Blush)
  7. wear more of my clothes (did this)
  8. Do the 'plank' for 1 min every day (Did this)
  9. try a few Pilates moves (nope)
  10. posture (a little)

If I can actually get time to go to gym, and not just to bring dd swimming will be huge help. What I'm happiest about is the plank, stomach muscles were in bits this morning which can only be a good sign Grin

I have also decided to wear perfume every day, a small step to feeling more polished I hope!

Everstrong · 07/05/2015 19:49

I'm going to give myself a B- for today!

Have drunk lots of water, stuck to my calories on MFP (each day this week!), moisturised from head to toe this morning and have had 2x early nights this week. Also took my supplements too.

Away to put DD down to bed then do some yoga and have an early night. Still full on enthusiasm which helps Grin

Paperblank · 08/05/2015 18:50

I'm giving my self a D- this week. I haven't drunk much water. I haven't started C25K because it's raining I've done something to my knee.

C'mon Paperblank!!! Get a grip!!!

15 weeks till blushing bride! I'll be a back-end-of-a-bus bride at this rate.

SevenEleven · 08/05/2015 22:27

Oh dear. I am sat in bed, eating chocolates and watching Downtown Abbey box set... Not on my original list!

But I have:
Used protein building hair mask
Taken off make-up, cleansed and moisturised
Walked 4 miles yesterday and picked up leaflet to join gym

Still a long way to go!

Karbea · 08/05/2015 22:41
