Why do Topshop do this?

I've just seen such a lovely dress at Topshop here. I had a thread a few days ago about wanting a wedding dress that wasn't weddingy and this would have been perfect, but what is going on with the back? I often find at Topshop that you see a lovely dress and then it has no back! There is no way I can go without a bra so there's no chance with this one - so frustrating! Sorry, just ahd to rant Angry

I think anyone of any age can shop in Topshop. I just get pissed off with them (Topshop) when they flog polyester tops for three times the amount you'd pay for it in New Look purely because Topshop gets a mention in Vogue from time to time.

You're just a high street shop Topshop. Know your place.

Topshop have lots of dresses at tge moment that I like until I find they have some cut out section at the back or sides. I'm slim so it's not a weight issue for me, it's an age issue! I'm nearly 40 and I just don't think I could pull it of.

I do like an exposed zip though!

Too skinny?! I'd say she is same size as me. Nice to know that's not a good look Angry

The fabric is pretty, but the dress s overpriced and not very flattering. From the back I think it makes her look bottom heavy.

I've seen a dress similar in miss selfridge which is cheaper and more flattering

This probably isn't the type of thing you want but it is rather pretty.

Thanks, yes I'm trawling net a porter and the outnet for options. No mad rush as wedding isn't until September so may hang on for sales in the summerSmile. I agree that dress would be lovely for a beach wedding though. Interesting that although it's a lot for topshop, it is nearly sold out.

I was all ready to agree with you op but actually this dress is designed to hang off a very slim frame - if you need a bra then you're the wrong shape - and I say that as someone who would love to pull off ethereal elegance but with my 32es would look absurd.

I do hate backless in otherwise structured dresses
