PretendFriend · 19/10/2006 10:10

Have you got Bay City Rollers stylee short flapping pants to go with them?

harpsichordcarrion · 19/10/2006 10:10

they're fab though aren't they?!
please someone say they like them...
£70 isn't too much is it

harpsichordcarrion · 19/10/2006 10:11

badkarma · 19/10/2006 10:11

What would you wear them with?

They would only look bad if teamed with tarta, but might be nice with plain colours? But then I am no fashion expert

hoxtonchick · 19/10/2006 10:11

errrrrrrrrrrr, no, don't do it hc

badkarma · 19/10/2006 10:11

tartan not tarta

madmarchscare · 19/10/2006 10:12

£70 is not too much. Actually I rather like those black pointy pointy ones with the ribbon tie.

CreepyCrawlyCarmenere · 19/10/2006 10:12

HC, I think that you may regret this purchase..............

harpsichordcarrion · 19/10/2006 10:14

I would look like an air hostess for British Caledonian RIP.
no, I have nothing to wear them with
and no money to buy them with

i dont like mary jane type shoes

heifer · 19/10/2006 10:37

very worried as I actually like the tartan.. But wondering how the hell would I actually walk in them... Since having DD I have to admit my shoe collection consists of trainers, trainers, heels (as DD calls them) for church and boots for going out...

I bet I couldn't even stand up in them. I really must learn how to be a grown up and wear girlie shoes..

harpsichordcarrion · 19/10/2006 10:38

no, me too heifer, I am lazy bint about shoes normally.
I have one pair of boots with heels, which I thought were great until I saw Michael Jackson wearing some v similar in the paper the other day

TheDaVinciCod · 19/10/2006 10:42

they had tartan in new look

expatinscotland · 19/10/2006 10:43

Thanks for the laugh!

Those are the funniest shoes I've seen in a while, and I pass a Schuh shop every morning .

Tartans as a 'fashion statement'. LOL.

heifer · 19/10/2006 10:44

I will have to sneak a peak from outside the door then... don't do newlook.... or primark... or topshop...

complete clothes snob me, nothing to do with the fact that I am a heifer of course.....

bctmum · 19/10/2006 10:45

I love tartan.

The shoes are fab!

WelshBoris · 19/10/2006 10:48

Buy them HC and wear them with all black

You will rocket up in my estimation

They are GORGEOUS

JessaJackOLantern · 19/10/2006 10:48

I have no problem with the tartan ...little concerned about the height of those heels (can hear snapping ankles in the background)!

expatinscotland · 19/10/2006 10:50

My husband looks lovely in his kilt.

My daughter has a lovely scarf in her family's tartan, although yesterday she picked up a tartan belonging to a duke's family and said, 'I want this one for mine.'
