thanks QueenC I would so love the rainbow ones, I know exactly how I would wear them as well! maybe just maybe i'm going to save up for them, so long as they aren't super limited edition or anything

Thank you to everyone for your congratulations about the exam. I was so nervous this morning I was having palpitations Xmas Shock

Awks · 08/12/2014 21:16

The rockrunners are nicer than the rockstuds. Marginally.

santamarianovella · 08/12/2014 21:32

Flowers, Flowers Flowers and Cake to our domestic goddess and ultra chic dry, happy birthday lovely,

Im not loving the multi rockstuds too.

love the Rossi ones,

queen your weekend away sounds fab, great shopping.

My jcrew hoodie, and Marni skirt are here! Love the hoodie, good cashmere, the skirt is absolutely amazing, just the thing I need.

DryWhiteplease · 08/12/2014 21:32

Well.....don't hold your breath.
I did say all I wanted was a dressing gown because we've spent so much on the house this year and I've been spoiled with the wardrobes of my dreams. So I got the Cath Kidston gown I wanted perfect for reclining in. Best pressie was a £20 Harrods voucher (and Ed Sheeran album) from dcs to put towards my bracelet Xmas Smile. emphasised how much I LOVED the vouchers Xmas Wink Don't know why so many of my cards had an alcohol theme Xmas Confused

DryWhiteplease · 08/12/2014 21:33

Oh Queen the lace dress is indeed "lush"

OP posts:
libertychick · 08/12/2014 22:05

Yes vouchers are a great gift! Dressing gown is good too, I want a new one. I have a very old, very pink, very warm and snuggly full length Primark one that I have had for YEARS. The damn thing just refuses to die Grin and I feel a bit wasteful just chucking it out when it is absolutely fit for purpose.

QueenC I adore that Anglomania dress too, just fabulous.

bettykt · 08/12/2014 22:27

Belated happy birthday Dry glad it all came good in the end and you're enjoying your presents Cake [prosecco] Love the bracelet btw and your family's sense of humour making you believe it had been forgotten.

QueenC fab links as always, I particularly liked the Erdem lace dress, am undecided about the rock studs think you need to wear all black and that be the only bit of colour you're wearing. I liked the men's trainers but couldn't see dh in the somehow. Did you buy anything nice in Edinburgh?

Liberty love the AV dress you linked earlier on, I could really do with some winter sun.

Sleep your dd's outfit is lovely. I'd like a dress like that.

Topazandpearl · 08/12/2014 22:31

A belated happy birthday dry, good pressies!

I'm very envious of your holiday liberty and glad you had such a lovely time queen.

Well done on your exam One, you have had such a lot to deal with on top of your studies.

I hope you are home now Marsha from your trip up North.

Poor DH left home at 5am on a business trip. Weather caused delays which meant he missed his connection and so won't reach his destination till 5am (our time). I hope he manages to get some sleep.

BrandyAlexander · 08/12/2014 22:51

Hope you had a lovely birthday Dry!Winex

Welcome back to QueenC (and Lib and Topaz!). So glad you had an amazing time.

Well done to One!!

Those Valentino colourful things are just a bit too colourful for me. The Erdem lace dress is lovely though!

Fedupnagging · 09/12/2014 07:29

Shop just popping in before work to say that Joseph had lots of leather leggings in Selfridges yesterday - here from Joseph website. They are all a bit £££ but good quality.

DryWhiteplease · 09/12/2014 07:59

Ooh, after Chinese followed by birthday cake I can completely sympathise with my twin, Cara D......I wouldn't be allowed to take part in the Vic Secret catwalk show today either Grin.

Freezing........bringing the Hitech out of the drawer!

What a glamourous post birthday picture I'm painting this morning Smile

16 SLEEPS!!!!!!Xmas Grin

Thanks Fedup - so many to choose from Shock and ££££ :( Will have to keep my eyes on the sales. I may order some and return so at least I know my sizing (although that could be dangerous).
So cold here too Dry - glad you had a good evening. LOL at catwalk. Xmas Grin

santamarianovella · 09/12/2014 09:44

dry glad you had a good time, love your catwalk commentGrin ,
I think Cara, was better off, she was the star of the chanel métier d'art, it reminds me of the movie Ludwig, love the setting and styling, it wasn't too extravagant, and she just looked so dreamy in that dress, and Heidi-esque hair,
that VS show seemed so childish specially with Taylor swift and the other tiny singer,it looked like it was targeted for teenagers, I like watching the VS, but this year was so off putting, it lost the glam, even the $million dollar bra, looked like cheap belly dancer costume.

LinusDKD · 09/12/2014 09:55

Morning!

Brrr it's extra cold here today.

one forgot to say, well done on your exam! I don't think I could do it all over again, especially as I started studying at the last minute. Blush The Stress!

I still have an exam nightmare at least once a year, where I am told I have one day to study for a subject I have no clue about.

My J Crew turtleneck jumper has arrived and I LOVE the colour. It's the perfect blue for me. Still not sure if the cable knit makes me look chunky but it's a keeper nevertheless because of the colour.

I am keeping it on as it's warm and snuggly too.

santa I agree, I'd rather model for Chanel than VS! [deluded emoticon]

I have always been dissapointed when I see the VS underwear in the shops as the quality seems bad and the designs just look cheap IRL.

shopafrolic · 09/12/2014 10:03

Glad you like the turtleneck Linus - I always feel a little chunky when I wear mine (the neck is very high) but it always gets loads of compliments so I think it's ok. They are fab colours and toasty warm. I am wearing your DVF scarf today Thanks

santamarianovella · 09/12/2014 10:22

How I love this image oh, it's going straight to my mood board, now if only a couple with a schloss and and an army of children hire me to decorate for them, I would totally do it for free Grin,

LinusDKD · 09/12/2014 10:47

Lol santa!

I can imagine little Karl being dressed like that as a toddler more than 70 years ago. (Without the high heels though)

LinusDKD · 09/12/2014 10:53

Glad you like it shop!

BrandyAlexander · 09/12/2014 11:27

Morning! I had a bit of err what one might call a splurge yesterday. Ahem.

DVF wool dress which I have in orange and 3/4 length but I am a cold bunny so like the idea of long sleeves!

Armani fitted crepe dress which I think is a little different from my other work dresses.

I got this grey Max Mara cashmere scarf to go with my coat. Thought it would also look good with my Chloe Paraty. As you know, I am miss matchy matchy Grin.

Then I got this red-dish Max Mara cashmere scarf as loved the colour.

I finally succumbed and decided to be a sheep and tryleather leggings though I got them in a size 6. I was worried the 8 might be too big but not sure if my arse will play ball and fit into a 6!

I am no Shop but also got Michael Kors Breton top to try. My only other stripe top is has got slightly less chunky stripes so not sure how this will go!

Also by by Michael Kors this jersey top is similar to a Warehouse one that QueenC found me last year which I love. More expensive though Hmm.

In my head, I would like to look good in this dress but not sure if I am too short for it! Hoping not, as I like the simiplicity of it.

My new Christmas jumper from Next.

Okay, so I actually got this Jaegar top last week but that's when I was hiding from Lib Grin.

I need a sit down now. Shock.

bettykt · 09/12/2014 12:11

What a fab spree Novice that black Armani dress, wow so so classy I love it and you will look great in it. No-one will mess with you when wearing that dress! A great haul, you blooming' well deserve every single item and more the rate you've been working the last few months, enjoy every single piece. Some lovely classics there.

DryWhiteplease · 09/12/2014 13:42

Great haul novice!

Chanel called before VS , but tbh I was a bit busy. Grin

Dilemma.... About to do gym class followed by quick trip to the shops. But, have forgotten my trackies... Not sure I'm hard enough to go out in cycle shorts! Shock

linus I have exam nightmares too. That I'd studies the wrong text ! Horrible many many years after doing my finals.

libertychick · 09/12/2014 14:12

Nice work Novice Wink. MrNovice can rest assured that order has been restored in the world!!

I hope the leather leggings work as I think you would look great in them. Love the MK tops with the zips and agree with Betty, there will be no messing with you the Armani dress. It's all great though and enjoy after all your hard work.

Today I am wearing this Gap dress and popping a denim shirt over it whenever the wind picks up. Still nice and relaxed, doing some study and MNing while DH and DD splash in the pool.

santamarianovella · 09/12/2014 14:35

You missed a good one dry I was there Grin, wearing a gigantic hair bow,

Seriously, I remember I used to cry when my mum dressed my hair like that, half up half down with a big silk bow, I wanted my hair worn like the other girls , side pony tail with curls and a scrunchie. it turns out my mum was light years ahead of Karl,Grin and I sincerely thank her for keeping me away from scrunchies.

Wow wow wow! novice impressive, all perfect and chic

lib you sound relaxed, enjoy it, you need it Smile

bettykt · 09/12/2014 15:31

Liberty sounds like you're having a nice, chilled out relaxing time. It's freezing here, brrr.

shopafrolic · 09/12/2014 15:39

Wow Novice some lovely bits there - lots that will work well together too. Enjoy, as already said - you deserve them xx
Liberty lovely to hear that the break is going well. :)
I am trying to be a domestic goddess here - banana bread and bread loaves being baked - smells yummy
