DryWhiteplease · 08/12/2014 16:43

Hello all.....yes, marsha it is and it's been a complete non event so far Sad feeling rather pathetic tbh at my age hopefully it might get better later on when DH gets back from shooting, DS gets back from rugby training and DD gets out of bed where she's been all day with a stomach bug, even my parents forgot to send me a card!

Sleepwhenidie · 08/12/2014 16:59

I didn't want to get a dressing up dress Santa, it irritates me how much they cost and you can't wash them! She is very happy and looks amazing in this dress] with [[http://uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/acc_5,acc_5.23/6189362636 cape (I couldn't resist Blush) and 'glass' slippers - well at least we also have Christmas party dressing sorted too!

Dry Sad - just x posted with you - hope things improve when DH gets home.

Fedupnagging · 08/12/2014 16:59

Happy birthday Dry Wine FlowersWineWine. Am sure your day will improve very soon.

One well done on your assignment.

Lib glad you having a lovely time. I love that AV dress - I remember when you linked it initially I tried to buy one too but they were oos.

Queen so pleased you had a fab weekend away and what a gorgeous bag.

Stokey I love St Pancras hotel - had drinks there last weekend. Have told dh I would love a weekend there as have seen photos of the rooms - a-m-a-zing! As we are only a train ride away, he doesn't see the point Hmm

Am feeling very hungover jaded from our night away. Late boozy night then was woken at 6.45am by ds3 calling then 30mins later a call from ds2! Spent a happy few hours shopping though and will link later when have some more energy!

shopafrolic · 08/12/2014 17:49

I just FaceTimed Dry and got sidetracked when my DS got stuck trying to get out of his chair by climbing through the back of it Hmm
So to finish our conversation, the reason for the haircut is an interim as I grow it into something like this. Enjoy your evening gorgeous Wine Wine Wine

MarshaBrady · 08/12/2014 17:56

Happy birthday ever so chic lovely Dry! Cake [fizz] hope you have a really nice evening.

On my way back from Manchester now, I didn't get to see any of it other than taxi, train station etc

shopafrolic · 08/12/2014 18:01

Long day Marsha - hope it went well. Bloomin' work always gets in the way doesn't it? :)

MarshaBrady · 08/12/2014 18:06

Shop I know I really wanted to see something! But lunch was quick in the deli in the office. It was good, chatting to new people who do different jobs I quite like that part. they were also quite funny and made me laugh a bit

DryWhiteplease · 08/12/2014 18:09

Right, I feel like an idiot, as I said to the lovely shop fab hair IRL you should never say anything bad because it always comes back to bite you in the bum so to speak.

3/4 of the family are home. Pressies and card all over the kitchen table inc one from my parents, dd had hidden it now I have to wait until DS gets home to open them. slightly alarmed by DH's mystery "surprise" non bracelet shaped package Grin in the mean time I'm having a prosecco.
Thanks for buoying me up MNV ..........see you all later Xmas Smile

DryWhiteplease · 08/12/2014 18:15

And DH has just uttered the phrase " ooooh, can you smell the gun powder?" Is this a metaphor? Xmas Hmm

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 08/12/2014 18:19

Nope - just means he will now enter ritualistic gun cleaning phase (if anything like my DH), whilst tramping muddy boots throughout house. Hmm

DryWhiteplease · 08/12/2014 18:30

That's exactly what he's doing, right next to my presents!!!!!shop

sleep we were supposed to go out for dinner as a family, but, because dd is ill, went to M and S and bought a load of their Chinese banquet stuff and we are staying in and having a meal at home. DH and I will celebrate our birthdays after Xmas, have already booked a Michelin starred restaurant in Jan (can't wait)
