couldn't find ANYTHING I liked last year so made do

I want something not too heavy as I am on public transport a lot and will roast

Maybe a long macish thing with removable lining but NOT fogeyish

Anyone got any suggestions

i just got a coat from laredoute. they have some really nice ones in their new collection and really reasonably priced.

foxinsocks · 04/10/2006 11:15

snort

I'm crap at styleee stuff but friend at the end of the road (infinitely more stylish than me) said some of the stuff in M&S looked good!

CountessDracula · 04/10/2006 11:15

hmm

don't like shopping online really

They're probably shopping, CD. Found this , though it doesn't actually meet your description. Some macs on the Debenhams site, but none with removable lining.

daisy1999 · 04/10/2006 11:16

CD It is bloody disgusting that the mnetters are too busy cleaning their dining rooms to give urgent assistance
I have been watching this thread for advice and I am appalled by their lack of urgency

CountessDracula · 04/10/2006 11:17

Hmm not really fan of that green soz

I have a divine one i bought from Mexx years ago that I love but it has fallen to pieces

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 04/10/2006 11:18

Daisy it is bloody disgusting isn't it?

WTF do they think they are doing?

OP posts:
JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 04/10/2006 11:18

Fair enough - what sorts of colours do you like. Lots of black and red around.

CountessDracula · 04/10/2006 11:19

Black would be best I guess

Ooh have just remembered I have a lovely vintage brown suede one somewhere must dig out

OP posts:
JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 04/10/2006 11:19

Black one
or
red one ?

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 04/10/2006 11:20

Another black one

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 04/10/2006 11:21

OOh - dark purple ?

HuwEdwards · 04/10/2006 11:22

dunno about white tho

bossykate · 04/10/2006 11:22

cd, i've just bought this in red - was featured in eve fashion recently. i think it is good value for the money - i saw a similar one recently for £179. good quality too.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 04/10/2006 11:23

More black - bit shiny, not sure if that's good or not - would need to see in rl, I think.

CountessDracula · 04/10/2006 11:25

jackie I should have said, no belts

I look like sack of potatoes in belted things as have no waist

BK I quite like that but don't want brown or ecru or red really

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 04/10/2006 11:32

I love this M&S one (well I love the blue colour) but it's probably too warm for public transport

I have a black mac from sainsburys that isn't belted and it's done me proud!

I quite like this one aswell - it's not a coat I would wear but would probably see it on someone else and think it looked good.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 04/10/2006 11:33

Oh bother. Sorry! Right - I suspect that this is too casual (and maybe too warm) but that this wouldn't be warm enough?

CountessDracula · 04/10/2006 11:35

hmm

A bit too smart maybe?

I only want it to wear to and from work and occasionally at toher times

quite like this never heard of lands end are thye for grannies?

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 04/10/2006 11:36

jackie that second one is same as first

how funny we both found lands end at same time

I do like that one you psoted but the lining doesnt' come out

OP posts:
JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 04/10/2006 11:37

They are a bit, in places, but I have some OK stuff from them - you just have to pick and choose. Pretty good quality, imo.
