I have a hole in my face

It's a huge pore that is so big you could hide small children it. I look like I've had a facial piercing. It won't go away.
Any ideas?

A toner? Thats meant to shrink pores? Also there are many creams on the market that claim to refine pores although i have no experience of them personally.

HowsTheSerenity · 03/10/2014 21:23

Toner has done nothing. I've had microdermabrasion and that didn't help.
I'm using BHA and retinol face creams and they don't help the pore. Everything else is great now though.
It's HUGE. It's about the size of the smiley in the smiley list.

Maybe a cosmetic surgeon?Could you get a bit of filler plumped in it? I don't know if that's even possible but it wouldn't hurt to investigate if it's really bugging you.
I hate skin problems. I struggle with acne. It's a bastard.

EggInABap · 03/10/2014 21:32

I have no advice as sadly I have the same problem. Marking place in case of any miracle answers Hmm

milkjetmum · 03/10/2014 21:36

Where is it? I have a hole on my cheek in front of my ear, it's a fairly common 'defect' to have extra ear holes Confused. Mine is not too wide but freakishly deep

SofaCanary · 03/10/2014 21:38

Use it to serve hummus?

HowsTheSerenity · 03/10/2014 21:38

Just above my lip so it really looks like a had a piercing.
I know it's not bad in the grand scene of things but it annoys me.

We need a pic Wink

mrsminiverscharlady · 03/10/2014 21:40

Polyfilla?

TheHoundsBitch · 03/10/2014 21:40

Get a piercing? Grin

Venticoffeecup · 03/10/2014 21:56

I saw a programme on reconstructive surgery once, where a women had a similar problem.

She had suffered from acne and had the worst skin I'd ever seen. Loads of pock marks and big holes like you describe.

I can't remember what the procedure was called, but they cut out what looked like little cylinders of flesh from another part of her body and sewed them into the holes.

There was still a scar of course but it looked filled in and she could cover the scar with make up.

I have no idea if that is something that could help you but it might be worth asking if it's really bothering you.

HowsTheSerenity · 03/10/2014 21:57

I'll get a pic soon.
Just washed my face so it's all red and blotchy.

I have thought about polyfilla. Would give a nice smooth finish Grin

Oh my god. Are you me? I swear people must think I had a lip piercing during my misspent youth.

I hate it.

I fill it with Clinique pore stuff. Just about disguises it.

There is a surgery I intend to have which stitches such pores/scars together. I think it costs several hundred quid. Like about £700 Confused

Shit, isn't it? Gah!

HowsTheSerenity · 03/10/2014 22:24

It's not the best photo.

I have a hole in my face

A drop of filler would easily fix that.

Fabulassie · 03/10/2014 22:39

Dermaneedling (or derma stamping) may fix it. It is effective against deep pockmarks on cheeks.

Furball · 03/10/2014 22:42

I have one too - but a bit higher up than yours

and yes it looks like a piercing.

I feel mines too big to heal

cerealqueen · 03/10/2014 22:43

second the derma roller. You have an amazing mouth BTW, focus on that, nobody will notice it!!!!

HowsTheSerenity · 03/10/2014 22:54

Dermaroller? What's that?
Thanks cereal!

Coughle · 03/10/2014 22:56

cerealqueen · 03/10/2014 23:03

this thing

Igotafreegoattoo · 03/10/2014 23:09

Beautiful mouth!

Filler or disguise as sexy mole?!

lovingmatleave · 03/10/2014 23:57

Wow - your skin is amazing. What BHA and retinol products are you using do you mind me asking?
Sorry - no proper advice on your question though.

HowsTheSerenity · 04/10/2014 00:34

I use Paulas Choice. I wish I found it years ago.
