What's a "HEILAND COO", anyway?

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 10:36

i think so too annie

our furniture is very modern and a big squashy couch might look out of place

i like clean lines and bright colours

That looks scary. Isn't it some sort of dinosaur or something? [ignorant city-dweller emoticon]

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 10:51

lol nqc they are gorgeous

big wet noses, big brown eyes with loooong lashes, flicking their hair like a supermodel

Hmmm, maybe it's a dragon?

There are dragons on my UK map ... there's zone 2, and then dragons all around it.

expatinscotland · 27/09/2006 12:24

those heilan' coos have a VERY strong, serious 'moo' as well.

one scared the beegeezus out of DD1, and now everytime she sees them she says, 'No! I'm frightened of cows.'

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 12:42

how old is dd1 expat? show her how lovely their long eyelashes are when they bat them, how they can stick their tongues up their noses

oh i love highland cows, they are beautiful

see them in all their glory at the highland wildlife park near kingussie

she was 3 in June.

there were some LOVELY ones at Scone Palace, very friendly.

their carer drove up, however, and they recognised him and starting mooing b/c he always gives them treats.

DD1 was standing on the other side of the fence from one and got a moo right at ear level - she's a tall lassie.

she freaked!

try driving through Perthshire with a bairn who's frightened of cows! LOL!

she kept saying, 'they're all away!'

i adore them! i find cows in general quite peaceful.

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 12:46

lol!

i think your dd sounds adorable

cows are peaceful , expat, i agree

there were a few lovely heilan' coos in the family park at dunbar, we went just about a fortnight ago, and she still got nervous when she saw them.

FIL, however, is a born animal-lover, he was stroking them and telling them how lovely they were.

she seemed to get a bit a calmer, but she wouldn't go up to them, the way she did w/all the other animals, including a GORGEOUS stag.

moondog · 27/09/2006 16:34

OK,just have a peek at these. I've got one similar to that in top left picture .

I know it's more expensive than you want but mine has been going strong for well over ten years,is very comfy and orange to boot.Looks great in a new house like mine (and yours)

moondog · 27/09/2006 16:35

moondog · 27/09/2006 16:37

expatinscotland · 27/09/2006 16:38

and buy a cover for it.

we have a lovely one from LaRedoute.
