We got a sofa from ikea with covers that come off etc. They change the covers every season and do really bright ones. Ours is in the playroom and has huge flowers on it. The basic sofa comes in cream. Not sure what its called. You choose the cover. V comfy. I'd do a link but don't know how.

You could check freecycle, but it sounds like where you are is, um ... sparsely populated?

You could also put a watch on ebay for something appropriate coming up? There are people who can bring things to you for ebay, if there are tempting sofas that are a bit further away but still much cheaper than ikea etc ... bit of a reach, though ...

Tutter · 27/09/2006 10:28

that's a shame np - after someone suggested ebay i looked on there and got quite excited about some lovely heals and conran sofas.

wonder how much courier companies (or man + van) would charge you to deliver?

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 10:29

i have seen that klippan one

i love the orange

i am so glad you posted "v comfy", mel, cos i ve been wondering as its so cheap

Yes i think so. Its deeper than it looks when you sit on it. Everyones been suprised and said how comfy it is. We only got it as a cheap one for the play room but its great. The covers are lovely too. I want the bright pink one next. The flowers on mine are orange, red and green. Sounds yuk but v funky and fun.

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 10:30

its a PITA tutter, we dont even have a dfs or anything!

think a day trip to ikea is in the pipeline

OP posts:
nailpolish · 27/09/2006 10:30

princessmel · 27/09/2006 10:30

princessmel · 27/09/2006 10:32

I hope you like it now I've gone on about it so much! Well we like ours anyway. Its got nice silver legs too. The toys do go under it though....

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 10:32

I used a man + van, they charged me just over £100. But since then I found someone who will do you a quote by email. They seemed really good, although I didn't end up using them (didn't buy item). Here's the guy's email address: [email protected]. I sent a link to the ebay item, and my post code, and they sent me back a quote.

I meant "sparsely populated" as a polite way to say "middle of bloody nowhere".

nailpolish · 27/09/2006 10:35

I like simple, modern shapes for sofas. I don't like frills or buttons etc.
