Do you wear red lipstick as a daily choice?

I have been colour matched today and am pleasantly surprised, I chose I bright red from my selection which friends have said look great. I guess I just lack the confidence , is red lippie too much for work or should I be braver and embrace the look

Hell yeah. Just keep the rest of your make-up fairly neutral. I love a red power lip for tricky meetings.

Think it depends on the workplace. I work in a hospital and it would be awful but offices etc definitely yes.

I usually wear it. Mine tend towards pink, though, not orangey.

thanks everybody , Mildred there was no pressure at all ,I went to buy a peachy colour I had seen and fancied out of a magazine and told the girl I would buy it regardless. But thought she may as well colour match me while I was there, she gave me a card to take away with my colour matches on and I picked a red which I really love

I wear Bobbi Brown Red and minimal other makeup most days. Makes me seem more confident than I am.

Always. Mine is discontinued, but I can still get on Amazon and eBay. Garnet red. Lovely.

Sometimes it's red, sometimes it's pink, but I always wear lipstick.

NoArmarni to colour match the No7 lady puts a small machine up to your face which records your skin colouring, and then she give you a card with colours which will suit you. I thought it was a gimmick, but I must admit I'm sold. The colours were fab

I really like the Boots MatchMade service. It's essentially the same as the foundation matching, but now they've grouped the lipsticks to go with skintones too. Works better than the actual foundation matching! They're nice lipsticks too.

I wear bright red, or bright pink or purple lips most days. Can't beat a bit of bright lippie to cheer you up!

I now have a lovely red red lipstick but i've only worn it once (for a wedding). I want to wear it more but don't know where. I'm on maternity leave atm so don't have enough opportunities!

ahaha, I wore MAC Russian Red to a work meeting once, and the chair woman came up to me in the break and said "I saw your lips enter the room before you did!"

It was probably a bit OTT for a serious work environment tbh, but there's no reason why you shouldn't go for it.

The only thing I found was that it was a fucking pain in the arse to maintain throughout the day. I couldn't be doing with the fuss on a daily basis.

I wear bright pink lipstick every day. Can't be doing with subtle lip gloss or lip balm. My lips are naturally a bit bloodless looking so the colour really helps.

Yup (well, wear lipstick every day and it's frequently red). I do go more for sheerish versions for daytime (Tarte Lipsurgence crayons, Lipstick Queen "saints", etc.) and then amp it up for evening (Nars matte crayons), but have been known to go all out on a work day if I feel like it. Red lipstick makes me happy!

I wear it most days. Only the maintenance puts me off if I am feeling a bit meh.

Nars reds don't need much reapplication, basically weld themselves to your face...

It usually doesn't if I colour my whole lips in my lip-liner then apply my lipstick, just a bit hesitant about trying out new ones...

No. I haven't worn bright red lipstick since I was in my teens - it doesn't suit me at all!
