I looked at that product but was ultimately turned off by the reviews: many indicated that it will only work once - maybe twice - and then it just damages the hair.

Thanks for sharing . I'm also reading reviews and getting worried .

Mine was amazing first time I used it and not so good later uses but still fabulous on my über wild/thick/wavy/bush head hair! Can rough dry/with brush in about 4 mins rather than 20 and though I do gave to GHD takes 10 mins instead of 25-30.

Check shampoo/conditioners suitable or will strip it out won't last as long.

Other than that do it do it do it !!!

I did mine once, it worked but I was a bit disappointed to lose my curl in a way so I've not done it since. We had a massive thread on it at the time,(different NN)
I'll have a look for you.....

Here, some afternoon reading for you

I've used it 3 or 4 times, but I've decided not to do it anymore. Yes, it works. It makes your hair much smoother and it really does reduce styling time dramatically. But it makes your hair greasy and flat and not just for the 3 days, no washing, tying back stage either. The biggest thing for me though was that it feels completely toxic. If something makes your eyes stream and makes your chest hurt when you breathe it in, it can't be doing you any good- formaldehyde free or not. So the last time I did it, I just thought 'nope, not worth it'. I haven't done mine for around 7 months now and I much prefer my hair now. I'd just stick to using intense conditioners and laying off the ghds as much as you can. I used to hate having so much body and wave to my hair, but after having lank, flat greasy hair with this stuff, it's made me realise I'm actually quite lucky. I would steer clear if I were you.

Thanks for the link and thanks for sharing your thoughts .
I have scalp psoriasis and my hair are thinning whereas it used to be really thick . And now it's long ,thin, curly and full of frizz and getting unmanageable Wink .
That's why idea of smooth and swishy hair tempting me so much but I'm so worried about side effects as I have plenty of problems to deal with so can't have another one

Diva, well if your hair is thinning, I think that's another reason not to use it. It will make your hair look thinner because it really flattens it and as I say, it will make it feel greasy and look greasy. I use to wash my hair every 4 days or so, but when I had this stuff, it needed washing everyday, which I was reluctant to do. I got through a lot of dry shampoo! Grin

What is scalp psoriasis? I'm assuming it's as it's sounds....

AgathaF · 22/09/2014 09:33

I've used it a few times now. It seems to wear of quicker each time I use it - this time I think it lasted around a month. It is good but I'm not convinced I want to use it again. As double said, it does make your eyes stream so I wonder what's in it to do that.

Beautydiva · 23/09/2014 18:35

Thanks for sharing AgathaF.
It seems like it has really strong chemicals in it .

I am about to do mine again tonight as I am going on holiday on Monday!

I agree that it works brilliantly the first time, and less good thereafter. But I think it is still worth doing. I am not trying to achieve straight hair, but my hair sort of frizzes and puffs up when it is damp or I get hot, and this stuff gets rid of that completely.

I don't find it makes my hair greasy at all. I even like it during the three days when you are not allowed to wash it, and will be going to work with it like that. I would be worried about it irritating psoriasis tho, its is pretty toxic.
