Hi all! I have awful bags under my eyes caused by lack of sleep due to newborn babay. (14wks)

It has taken its toll and I realy need to do something about it

What I need is for all you ladies with the perfect complexions to recommend to me what you use in the hope it will work for me!!

What have you tried? What works? What to avoid? What are you currently using?

Thanks xx

Touche eclat is good as a concealer, or have heard Boots no 7 copy is equally good for less cash. You can only cover it up the bags at the moment, you won't get rid of them until you get some sleep. Try to avoid mirrors for another few months - there are more important things than under eye bags

bakedpotato · 25/09/2006 22:06

clarins beauty flash balm
& touche eclat

TooTicky · 25/09/2006 22:07

Drink lots of water and eat fruit - organic preferably. Oh, andco-sleep if you aren't already...

FillyjonktheBananaEater · 25/09/2006 22:08

you forgot the ring sling, tick.

TooTicky · 25/09/2006 22:12

Ah, should I post yet another link to my personal favourite ?

wendy33 · 25/09/2006 22:20

Thank you

I have been getting plenty of sleep the last 4-5 weeks.
It is really getting to me as at school the parents say 'ooh you look really tired! Is he still not sleeping?'

Yes! He is bloody sleeping and I always look like this!

I have had this problem for years but it is only recently it has started to get to me. Probably only because I dont feel tired and Im getting plenty of sleep.
(I forgot to mention I get plenty of sleep, eat fresh food and drink lots of water)

Does anyone else have this problem?

I have from time to time. Try more green veg? Any excuse to eat spinach in this house

Another vote for Touche Eclat from me...

wendy33 · 25/09/2006 23:07

I brought some of that Anew from Avon but dont think it will be much good as it is really cheap!

Have been giving Touche Eclat to new mum friends for many years now. It's amazing stuff and should arrive in that little bag from Bounty imo. Mine was first bought for me by a gay friend in the early 90s. He still looks better than me!

plummymummy · 28/09/2006 08:36

yes touche eclat is great

lynseyloo · 28/09/2006 15:18

"ooh la lift" by Benefit..worked wonders for my dark circles..i found Touch Eclat to be quite chalky..guess it would be ok if it is mixed with a bit of concealer.
Still use Ooh la Lift now..its become a staple in my make up bag. They sell it in the larger Boots stores

Was at a body shop party and the girl recommended this body shop , never tried it though, I go for the naturally shattered look myself

virgin vie do a touch eclat stylee concealer. this is just as good and a bit cheaper.

But you deserve a treat id go for the touche eclat! Posh things always make me feel special (i have a pink juicy tube for all feeling low occasions!)

addictedtoshopping · 06/10/2006 20:43

I have horrendous dark circles which dont seem to go even when i get a good nghts sleep - have been using touche eclat but it doesnt work that well. have recently seen advertised a cream called Strivectin for dark circles - its £95 tho' so i am asking around before i buy.

Mateychops · 06/10/2006 21:21

Before using all previous suggestions, which are all fabby, get the body shop eye gel and shove it in the fridge. Use the chilled eye gel, then the clarins flash balm, then the touche eclat, then your usual. Better than Botox.

Kitty74 · 06/10/2006 21:40

I use a Bobbi Brown combination. 1 colour neutralises the dark colour, the other blends with your skin. It is fantastic, but not cheap.!!! I have really bad rings and they were making me feel v. old and miserable. I tried touche eclat and found it did nothing for my circles. Good luck

MrsApron · 06/10/2006 21:42

iron tablets! Worked for me, i have a 5 week old and am getting surprisingly good sleep but when I forget the iron tabs for a few days the shadows come back and defeat all concelaers,

with iron tabs I love this stuff
peep-o

Mateychops · 06/10/2006 22:28

Iron tablets made my eyes sparkle, but my poo a weapon of mass destruction. Discuss, please, ladies.

wendy33 · 06/10/2006 23:18

I am on iron tablets but they obviously dont work for me!
