how much make up do you carry around with you?

On a day to day basis how much make up do you carry around with you, and how often do you do top ups during the day?

I have lip balms and maybe one lipstick/gloss in my handbag and may top up once a day.

what is "normal" to keep your look nice and on point, and what's too much to the point of overkill?

I usually only have lipbalm and either gloss or lipstick. I don't really find I need anything else tbh

I only carry a lip balm and neutral lipstick.

Just lip balm and lipstick as well, though have terrible tendency to keep putting lipsticks into my bag and not taking them out until I realize that my bag is incredibly heavy and my makeup drawer is looking suspiciously empty.

If I was doing something glam after a day of non-glamitude (eg playing a gig after a work day) I might bring a full face worth, but a lot of that would be applying for the first time rather than reapplication.

I put make up on in the morning before I leave the house, but the only thing I ever take with me is lipstick - even on a night out. I always worry that putting make-up on top of what I've already put on it will end up looked caked.

I carry makeup bag with pretty much everything in it. Primer, foundation, concealer, blusher, lipliner, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, mascara, lipstick, lipgloss, lip balm, eyeshadow, powder and a couple of brushes and eyelash curler.

Sounds ridiculous but I work in makeup/beauty industry so it's just carry over from that and normal for me. In saying that I maybe reapply once a day tops.

A small zip pocket with concealer, grey kohl pencil and a pressed powder, plus lip balm.

Only lip balm and mascara

Does anyone know of a nice compact that looks pretty and can be used to mop up a bit of shine in the day? I use loose powders, either mineral foundation or a very light mineral powder with concealer. They are no good for carrying around.

I apply new slap over old for evening as ultra shiny nose has broken through by 7 otherwise
Lips, foundation, blusher, eyeshadow in a neural brown that can budge in eyebrows line eyes do a bit of shading if things start to look KISS

I carry lipgloss religiously but never remember to put it on.

I normally carry NARS concealer, Laura Mercier invisible powder and the lipstick that I'm wearing.

New favourite is the Posietint balm from Benefit.

Concealer, blusher brush with some on, face powder, lip gloss and eye shadow . I have to reapply once a day

Lipstick & concealer.

I carry around lip balm, lip gloss, blusher. Everything else stays at home.

I could do my whole face. I have samples of foundation and mascara. A blush pot , a tiny half finished eyeliner.

I don't get concealer. I'm not spotty is that why?

I use concealer for the weird blotchy bits around my nose/under eyes, means I can get away with just tinted moisturizer or a tiny bit of foundation for the rest of my face and still look "done".

Usually lipstick, lip balm and pressed powder.
The rest of my makeup lasts all day so I don't need to bring that for touch ups.

Sometimes I'll do my makeup in the car (DH driving) if we're going somewhere and I haven't had time to do it at home. Then I'll bring foundation, blusher, mascara and maybe eyeshadow as well.

Lipgloss only. I used to haul around a little pouch with powder, mascara, lipliner, lipstick. Now I can't be arsed.

Lots ! Mascara, lipstick, lipgloss, powder, concealer, blusher, eye liner, eye shadow. Handbag weighs a ton ! Lol

Blimey - do I need to step up my game?

Depends on what is happening.
If I am not wanting to look fab from dawn till dusk then then it's lip balm, lippie and concealer for under eyes. .If I was needing anything extra I'd add foundation stick and blusher.
