If it was an unexpected windfall I would either buy some brown leather boots, some new underwear, or some beauty treatments.

Lots of lovely patterned tights - Monsoon;
something gorgeous from Plumo.

£200? On just me? For myself? Sigh.......................

farraday · 21/09/2006 18:31

im gonna share with you the best kept secret in london .. i am an addict for these clothes .. i feel amazing in them the staff are wonderful and really know there stuff ..even when i still had my flabby belly .. they knew exactly what to dress me in and i felt wonderful.. go look at there website www.cop-copine.com and dont be put off by the fact that they are very different from anyone else out there.... people stop me in the street and ask me where i get my clothes... how good do i feel when they do that.. the down side is they only go upto size 14 cos their french but i am a good 14 and i wear all their stuff.

MrsBadger · 21/09/2006 18:33

boots

About six ago I tried on a pair of boots in Hobbs and they were wonderful - they were comfortable and well-made and sexy and practical and made my legs look very good indeed.
But they were £120.
I couldn't justify spending that much at that point, so I left them, hoping they'd be in the sale. And of course they weren't, and I never saw them again.
I still kick myself - they'd have paid for themselves by now at £20 for each winter's wear.

(Can't believe I did the same thing with a Fat Face sale cashmere jumper last year - when will I learn...)

mazzystar · 21/09/2006 18:37

A great winter coat

and some trinkets with the change

moondog · 21/09/2006 18:44

Depends on what you 'need'
One or two classy staples or some bits to liven everything else up/If the latter, check out New Look.

Has come on amazingly recently.

Joolstoo · 21/09/2006 18:46

they say(!) the trick is to get one or two quality pieces and get inexpensive little tops and accessories

multitasker · 21/09/2006 19:06

Hard to beat a good pair of jeans - soul destroying trying to find them mind you, I was really lucky recently and got a pair of 'seven ' jeans in TKMaxx for £25!! Would love a long wool coat possibly in jade green - would compliment my auburn hair. But ofcourse to echo MarsLady "£200 on myself" - I wish.

hermykne · 21/09/2006 19:17

farraday i love that site, i could spend probably a grand right now with out even seeing it in a shop.
the skirt shapes are lovely.

UselessMum · 21/09/2006 19:20

Mrs Badger, I did buy a pair of the most wonderful boots in Hobs over a month ago. They were not cheap but what the hell, I need them! I thought.

Well I got home and there it was an almost exact copy of those sitting in my shoe rack. I swear I've tried justifying keeping them in every possible way... in the end I've returned them.

Now I sigh everytime I pass in front of the shop!!

UselessMum · 21/09/2006 19:21

btw: for me it would be a pair of good jeans, or a winter coat, or boots without a doubt!

lazybluealien · 21/09/2006 21:48

GOOBBLEDdigook, what happende dto that lovely boden coat you bought?

Joolstoo · 21/09/2006 21:51

oh lazyblue - that's so last season!

Blondilocks · 21/09/2006 22:33

Sunglasses... they would be around £150.

I don't know though. Often feel like spending money on myself & then finding absolutely nothing that I like

I am currently looking for:
flattish boots
some shoes to go with my new black & white dress
a cardi type thing to go with new dress
jeans

Enid · 22/09/2006 12:08

I have a couple of good winter coats so luckily am ok there

I really do need jeans (soooooo boring though) and boots

but do I get 'evening' boots eg with a heel or 'day' boots, flat ones (they always look like wellies to me)
