Crest whitestrips - anyone used them?

I know they are banned in the EU but have heard good things about them and that they work.

My question so which ones are the best to try? There seem to be so many different ones.

Didn't work for me. Best results for me are using toothpastes which have bicarb in, on top of laser whitening every 2 years or so.

Justgotosleepnow · 26/08/2014 17:59

Yes I got a friend to bring them back from USA for me. But my teeth are too sensitive. Don't know what to do with them now!

lottieandmia · 26/08/2014 18:02

Just got - which ones did you have? On the websites that sell them there seem to be at least 4 different ones.

I suppose they won't work for everyone and perhaps it depends how your teeth are to begin with but I've heard lots of people saying they work.

Also anyone know which is the best website to buy them from?

legitsuperhero · 26/08/2014 18:15

They do work but they wreck your gums and make your teeth very sensitive ime.

Justgotosleepnow · 26/08/2014 18:19

Oh they do work!
Yes the website is confusing!
I will check what ones I've got & report back ...

lottieandmia · 26/08/2014 18:24

Thanks, I'm a bit scared but have to do it quickly. Next time will go to dentist.

They do work but I use them as top ups after proper dental whitening. I use the 3d ones.

passmethewineplease · 26/08/2014 18:28

I've used them and they do work, my sister used them and her teeth look amazing! They did give me sensitive teeth though but I just switched my toothpaste to sensodyne. M sister also swears by brushing her teeth with charcoal?!

lottieandmia · 26/08/2014 19:46

Bump

OP posts:
lottieandmia · 26/08/2014 19:46

3d ones then?

OP posts:
Pusspuss1 · 26/08/2014 19:49

I've used them a few times, and they do a good job. I had the 3D premium/platinum (?) ones. Got them online.

Hendricksandcucumber · 26/08/2014 19:49

I've used them and they do work but I wouldn't use them daily but perhaps every other day for a week then weekly for a month of so.

When I used them daily I got terribly sensitive teeth! But less frequently they're brilliant!

I first bought them in the US but get them on Amazon now. :)

lottieandmia · 26/08/2014 20:00

Thank you again. I can't see crest ones on Amazon right now - are they a similar price on all the websites? How much do you usually pay? I don't have really yellow teeth or anything.

OP posts:
Hendricksandcucumber · 26/08/2014 20:12

They usually work out at about £2 a pack if memory serves. You're right I can't see them on amazon either! They'll be back soon I think.

HamAndPlaques · 26/08/2014 20:15

Yes, they work well. They do make your teeth sensitive for a few weeks but the trick is to start brushing with sensodyne or similar instead of your usual toothpaste at least a week before you want to start using them. That way you have some protection against the sensitivity before you begin.

lottieandmia · 27/08/2014 01:36

Many thanks.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/08/2014 06:21

I buy mine on eBay. Clean your teeth before you do them , not after.

lottieandmia · 27/08/2014 08:50

Thanks Ken - do you get the ones which say 3D on them?

OP posts:
Pusspuss1 · 27/08/2014 11:58

Sensodyne is a must for me with any tooth whitening. Tip - use the Crest strips once a day for an hour, instead of twice a day for 30 mins. Works just as well, and half the price!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 28/08/2014 08:24

I buy the 3D pro effects ones. You can also get one that you wear for two hours as a starter - haven't tried those .

lottieandmia · 28/08/2014 09:23

Many thanks for all your replies. I've ordered some from ebay.

OP posts:
specialsubject · 28/08/2014 14:08

these strips are banned for a reason - all those silly-white American teeth that you see will have fallen out in a few years.

still, if you want early dentures then go right ahead.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 28/08/2014 14:16

You can't really get silly white teeth with strips though. More like Simon Cowell filed down veneers.

WipsGlitter · 28/08/2014 15:47

Did any of you have crowns? Will it not work on a crown?
