I love this Joules bag but I can't decide on a colour

Here. Can't decide between the nice bright cheerful tan or the more subtle dark brown.

I coveted this when it was in the shop. Just found it still available on the Next website. Now can't make up my mind. It looks a nice roomy bag and it's got compartments which a lot of bags don't have at the moment. I am sick of fishing around in my bag, I need compartments!

You clearly prefer the tan one but thought the dark one would be more practical.

I don't like the blue accent on the tan. I'm not keen on that shade of blue at all. If you like the blue, then definitely go for the tan. Like someone else says - it goes with black AND brown.

bit late but I prefer the tan one as well

(can understand your dilemma though as I usually go for darker brown but think this particular one looks cheaper in brown than it does in tan). could be wrong, maybe the pic just doesn't do it justice.

I prefer the tan. Not keen on brown and suede is hopeless in the rain. I like the blue buckle. Its quirky.

I have a lovely blue dress that it'll look fab with. It used to be pink, I started another thread about its pink stitching. It's now blue all over and looks lovely.

After being a bit about the price I have been stalking around the next site and this thread for a while.
I need a new bag, but I cannot see any descriptions except size and colour. Is it me being dim or where is more detailed info on lining, compartments etc?

I had the tan a couple of years ago one but the colour of your jeans rubs off onto it (assuming you wear dark jeans). It looked really tatty within a month. Great bag but can't wear it now and was really disappointed with it.

Tan. But it used to come with a cross-body strap.

Cinnamon I've just had a look and I don't know where I got the idea that this bag had compartments. I'm now worried that I've mixed it up with the Richmond bag.

Oh well. Will have to wait and see as I can't find any pictures online.

If you're worried about colour transfer onto tan, I find that Collonil spray leather waterproofer also seems to help with colour transfer - got some dark jeans colour on the back of a tan bag after waterproofing it and it just wiped off with a damp cloth. You do need to treat your bag outside, though, as I suspect it counts as some kind of chemical weapon.

That bag on the Joules link is, I think, the one from last season that had the long handle as well.

I'm hoping that this one is a bit different.

I have the tan and blue Joules messenger bag. It's faded beautifully, is a gorgeous colour now and looks as good as it did a year ago!

After all that it arrived today and I don't know if I like it.

It's a gorgeous bag but it is only one compartment inside. It's huge and really heavy. By the time I fill it up with my crap I still won't be able to find anything and it'll weigh a ton to boot.

But it's gorgeous.

You bought it because you wanted a bag with compartments, you are fed up of one large compartment. It doesn't have any compartments and it's big and heavy.

There are loads of bags out there - find one you LOVE. Now you have an extra £170 to put towards it
