What's the most gorgeous and longest lasting perfume ever?

Ok so the most gorgeous is gonna be subjective but would love to know what you guys think! Long lasting would be good too but obviously all fragrances fade. I quite like Issey Miyake or rose scents but am very open minded.

Any ideas, you lovely fragrent ladies..? :)

Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks kab/lord I've put way too much on. I've sprayed my hair so I can smell myself. Sweet and musky.

I hate too much perfume on others. Just for one night I'll indulge myself.

If you have any more recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

I'm giving serious thought to the samples.

I'm another Tom Ford Black Orchid fan. I'm also a fan of TF Violet Blonde, which I find more summery.

I also love Burberry London (the classic original one), and Chaos by DKNY which has always been my favourite scent ever, (quite musky like the Black Orchid) apparently Donna Karan used to wear it and stopped production when her husband died because she couldn't bear to smell it. It's been released again lately much to my JOY. I also love Acqua di parma Gelsomnio Nobile - fabulous Smile

Angel makes me gag - it's is the "new" Poison. Chanel No 5 is horrible on me but I can enjoy it on others.

I don't know Black Orchid but it has so many fans here - will test it soon.

So in the end after much deliberation I actually used my John Lewis voucher to get Jo Malone Peony Blush and Suede I'd tried it on before and it's a lovely fresh, floral fragrance. And with the voucher it was only £15.00!

So thanks all for your input, has been an interesting journey into the world of high end fragrances, fascinating and so much to learn! :)

On the way to France for our holiday this summer, I bough YSL Paris. I'd never worn it before but it was on offer for £30 so I thought 'why not'. Put it on at 8 this morning and I can still smell it.

kenzo flowers, or the original Marc Jacobs daisy.

I love MJ Perfume, I collect the bottles, but the other fragrances (lola, honey, dot, delight, dreams) although really lovely smelling, need reapplying to remain noticeable. Daisy has more legs in my opinion.

Kenzo and Issey I can smell on my scarf all week usually.

Used to wear Rive Gauche but gave it to my daughter for her 18th . Have worn Dolce Vita and Opium for years .Both last well on me .Just 'inherited ' some 20 year old unopened Mitsouko, Je Reviens and Caleche from an elderly neighbour .I think they must be diagonals as they smell different on the skin .I wore Je Reviens and Mitsouko years ago and had forgotten how lovely they are. Also a tiny bottle of Impudence by Worth ,which I've never heard of and can't decide whether I like .Though it had been opened and may have gone a bit 'off' .Would be interested to know if they share common ingredients/base .Will have to investigate.Must try Black Orchid which a friend raves about .

Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford and
Serge Noir by Serge Lutens last a good few days on me.

Both very pricey but worth the money imo.

Rive Gauche is my guilty pleasure as is Paris - 80's throwback here.

I love the way both of them develop through the day.

One of the reasons I don't know many new perfumes is whenever I'm in Boots I heard to RG or Paris to spray on :)

I like rose and work best with 'floral' scents; my favourite is 5th Avenue.

I love Rive Gauche as my DM always wore it on special occasions when I was a child, and it reminds me of her coming to give me a kiss goodnight when she was all done up for a night out with Dad.
