Help a hopeless shopper spend money!

I've got some birthday money and a small windfall that I want to spend upgrading my wardrobe. However I am totally clueless as to what to buy for autumn.
I'm a small size 8, 5 foot 2.
Today I am wearing white linen trousers, a black top and pretty sandals as we were swimming.
Usually I am in skinny jeans and a top/cardi with boots if cold or pumps if warm. I like little dresses with pumps or boots.
I work from home and do the school run and we are quite rural, so often in wellies too.

So what would you buy if you had say £300 to spend and were clueless! I need lots of things as I really don't have much so I would rather buy primark/next/debenhams rather than expensive so I get more stuff for my money.
Help please - do I stick to my usual skinnies/tops/cardis or go for something else for autumn?
Thanks Grin

I wear stretchy skater dresses (with shorts underneath- I do live in a windy part of Scotland!) and cardis with leggings and pumps/boots every day. I find it's the easiest way to look nice and be comfy. I wear a long sleeved stretchy top underneath and thermal leggings (primark/h&m) if it's cold or thinner leggings/tights when it's warmer. Toyshop are good for the dresses, they are plain (as in not patterned, though I do have a few patterned ones from eBay/primark) so they are easy to accessorise with a nice scarf or whatever and they are (most importantly) comfortable and formal enough to be worthy of most occasions but casual enough to not look over dressed Smile

Just googled topshop skater dress and saw some.
Nice! But I am very small up top so might not flatter my flatness!!

Oh I don't know, my friend is also rather flat chested and slim and she looks fab in a skater dress Wink

I quite like a nice pair of skinnies and a tshirt too, but I can't wear proper jeans due to fibromyalgia making my skin extremely sensitive to anything that isn't stretchy Hmm so I end up with jeggings instead and I'm yet to find a nice pair that stay up properly!
