You need this top from Cos

www.cosstores.com/nl/Shop/Women/Tops/Crossover_A-line_top/46885-17575533.1#c-22755

It's so so so flattering and lovely and easy dress up or down and basically I'm living in it. It says dry clean only but I have cold washed it and it's fine.

I don't often post here but have been compelled to as this top is just so brilliant.

It only goes up to a 14/16 Confused

How are you fat? Grin

It's very nice and if it went up to 18 I might be tempted.

Boysclothes · 21/08/2014 23:10

I've got the 18!! So it does exist, in store. Cos is generous too. I feel compelled to say I'm normally a 16 but because they didn't have the 16 in got the 18 and it's meant to be worn free and easy so it works.

And the 44 is an 18!!

antimatter · 21/08/2014 23:12

I really like their tops!
Thanks for sharing.

Which high street shop did you get your top from?

Boysclothes · 21/08/2014 23:15

Kingston. Which you have to say in a faux Jamaican accent, although it's in surrey.

To reiterate, the 44 on the website is the 18 and it's generous!

PenisesAreNotPink · 21/08/2014 23:17

Is it?

I was sort of assuming since there were only 5 sizes that it was 8/10/12/14/16.

How fab! Thanks

antimatter · 21/08/2014 23:24

I know da Kingston Grin

kittykarate · 22/08/2014 10:30

How weird, 44 european is usually a UK 16 www.asknumbers.com/ClothingWomensConversion.aspx

Size guide says it's an 18 and I think it is

Onesleeptillwembley · 22/08/2014 11:02

It's a bit err utilitarian. Not for me.

AuntieStella · 22/08/2014 11:11

It says the largest size is 100cm bust. That's a 16 in both Boden and George at Asda.

Boysclothes · 22/08/2014 11:31

Weird? I've always found their sizing generous too.

I think it's actually v glam... Skinnies and bangles and you're good. But they've styled it for dead people.

That would make me look like the side of a house. It's hideous!

I think with cos, a lot of it looks hideous on the web or indeed on the hanger. And none of it ever looks like it will suit me. So I just go in and try on anything even vaguely acceptable and occasionally get a winner!

I am fattish (16) and large of nork but also have a bit of a waist and some hips. This stops right at (fat) hip level and misses the waist. Surely it would make me look even larger?

Boysclothes · 22/08/2014 12:14

I'm 5 7 and it comes to just below my fanjo.

Scarletohello · 22/08/2014 12:14

I need something more fitted, this would look dreadful on me! :(

Boysclothes · 22/08/2014 12:15

Actually maybe a bit higher.

OP posts:
lynniep · 22/08/2014 12:28

I don't understand this at all. From the pic it appears to be the most unflattering top. I have average norks and I am fat. I need something that is either empire line or gives the illusion of an actual waist.

Blithereens · 22/08/2014 12:29

This would look terrible on me! It would just hang from my boobs and the hem would fall right where I don't want people to look.

Chewbecca · 22/08/2014 12:32

Cos stuff is always photographed on people who look nothing like me (tall/thin v short/fat) but their clothes often look ok/good, just nothing like the pic. I can imagine this being one of those.
However, the dry clean only puts me right off.

Boysclothes · 22/08/2014 12:34

Well, if you've got a cos near you I can only recommend having a little try on. Can't hurt!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 22/08/2014 12:39

I think it depends what sort of fat shape you are, apples with slim legs it might work, pears like me (small waist huge thighs, size 16, large bust) not so much, I would look like a sack of spuds in it. I need waist or under bust definition. I do actually quite like it though.
