Well at the weekend I saw a whole croc wearing family, mum, dad and 3 boys and they looked......

......HIDEOUS!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!! All different colours too, and how proud they looked striding along.

Sorry but there is just no need for this siliness. They were shopping in them to, I could have ignored this fact if they were wading in a local stream or something.

Also, saw a mum at the school gate this morning with the biggest feet I have ever seen on a woman, couldn't help but stare. She had flip flops on and lots of hard skin. Yuk.

Think I have a foot fetish?

They're fab. I love them.

They're uber comfy,- plus

? comfortable, cool, and molds to your feet
? orthotic foot bed; advanced toe-box ventilation system
? slip-resistant and non-marking soles
? anti-microbial and odor resistant
? ergonomic italian styling; wide, roomy foot bed; made with croslite PCCR material
? buoyant; weighs only ounces

I can't understand some of you are slagging them off if you haven't even tried them

HuwEdwards · 18/09/2006 15:48

but Pixiefish, you have to admit, aesthetically speaking they are a bit of an acquired taste, no?

spook · 18/09/2006 15:52

I am in the croc gang and so are my DS's!!!!! They look so lush in them and everyone comments on how cool they look (6 & 9-both khaki) Mine are pink and despite the fact I look like I have 2 blancmanges on my feet I love love love them.
DP is struggling to come to terms with them though. He is only just getting over his shock at my Ugg addiction.
I mainly wear them for dog walking but do school run in them too.

Pixiefish · 18/09/2006 16:01

HuwEdwards- a lot of things are an aquired taste. i happen to love my crocs and think that when people slag them off they are insulting the people who wear them. My dd also loves her crocs and given the choice would wear them every day.

Jimjams2 · 18/09/2006 16:13

well yes. There are lots of things I wouldn't be seen dead in htat other people may like.

They are wide stleger (but so are my feet!) Wannabe has been looking into autism dogs for me - she is a star. I really need to do somethingI think - ds1 is becoming unmanageable at times in public. Begining to be a worry.

TheDullWitch · 18/09/2006 16:15

And Birkies are quite ugly until you ve got into their sexy nun vibe.

I bought mine in the US for £15 (I love that crashed dollar!) at the end of the summer. I wish I d had them for the beach.

StrawberryMoon · 18/09/2006 16:17

what are they like to wear on long walk?
been to town in berkenstock type things today and calves are murdering me..do crocs give more support?
lol lol lol at do you wear yours in pubic...can see a trend of threading pubic hair through little holes and letting them hang!!..ala christmas tree deco's!

TheDullWitch · 18/09/2006 16:20

There was slight chafing when i first got them. Now fine.

I wouldn t wear for long walks mostly because the worst thing about them is feeling like a great big stupid fashion victim who buys everything she sees in Heat.

StrawberryMoon · 18/09/2006 16:21

lol

StrawberryMoon · 18/09/2006 16:25

here
browsing my local croc's supplier..a pair of £30 shoes and they brought up these, which i may also be interested in???????????????????/

NotQuiteCockney · 18/09/2006 16:28

I find them quite comfortable. I bought Birkies this summer, and they seemed to set off planar fascitis or similar. Crocs don't do that (at least for me).

omgtherestwo · 18/09/2006 16:37

i love mine!!

Wisp · 18/09/2006 16:39

Oh crap, we have gone out as a family with 4/5 of us in crocs!!
Me- pink or purple
DH- the black "professional"ones
DS1-Blue
DD- red

TBH even Dh said " maybe just one of us at a time should wear them"

laneydaye · 18/09/2006 16:42

when i first saw them i thought they were a joke... are they comfortable?

intergalacticwalrus · 18/09/2006 16:46

The nearest we have got to crocs in this familiy is when DP wore soem turquoise surgical shoes when I went in for my CS to have DS2. They dressed him up like Quincy M.E. and he looked a right twat.

Blu · 18/09/2006 16:46

Twig, they are immensely fashionable! You really haven't spent enough time out and about in your local cafe and shopping street with the newspaper and time for a tall latte have you? They sell them in the trendiest 'side road' in your area......

I find high heels bizarrely ugly - big objects sticking off the bottom of a shoe...Crocs i think have character and make me smile.

Haven't got any yet, think I am too old, but I bet I succumb next summer!

One of the mums at ballet was wearing bright pink ones on Saturday.

I think as beach wear they are fine but anything else NO NO NO.

Jimjams2 · 18/09/2006 17:56

I wore my bright pink ones to drop ds2 at Stagecoach on Saturday.

Do I remotely care what anyone thinks about them? err no When I bought them I hadn't even seen them before, nor had I seen anyone else wearing them, I just happened to like them (now there's a thing).

Do I remotely care what anyone else wears? err no.

Fio- I'd even wear them in Birmingham Although you are right, lots of people wear them here.

Incidentally visited a friend wearing mine, she was wearing hers, I was wearing mine, her dd was wearing hers, ds1 and ds3 were wearing theirs and a neighbour of hers popped over wearing his. So you might not wear them, but plenty do.

spook · 18/09/2006 20:12

Blu
You always come through for me (and my crocs)
"Crocs i think have character and make me smile "
Me too!

Jimjams2 · 18/09/2006 20:14

I liked that too Anyway apart from Crocs I have one pair of DM type sho9es and then 2 pairs of these , one pair are purple and the a pair of dark green, light green and blue boots.

threebob · 18/09/2006 20:17

I need to see a picture of these please.

tigermoth · 18/09/2006 20:18

You and your Totnes shoes, jimjams

My favourite shop is Revival - such bargain prices for vintage clothing and their dusty jewellery in the window is captivating. One day I will go in with lots of money and buy all their brooches.

spook · 18/09/2006 20:19

Jimjams-there's a definate hippy chick vibe to your footwear

tigermoth · 18/09/2006 20:20

oh and back to the original topic - pink crocs have infiltrated this area of South East London. I saw my first pairs this weekend.
