Best everyday "my lips but better' lipstick

Just that really! I'd like to treat myself to a nice lipstick that I can wear everyday. Not too bright/too nude (worried that my teeth might look yellow!), sort of my lips but better. I'm darkish blonde, pale but pink undertones, green eyes. Sorry don't know if cool/warm, I find that v confusing. Don't like gloss at all.

Maybe a mac one as they seem to have the widest range of shades?

Thanks :)

Marking my place. Love lipstick but always feel so 'done' wearing it and never seem to get it right for daytime so always slap on Vaseline and leave it at that. Would love a bit of (subtle) non sticky non matte colour.

The revlon one was bright on me too. Try the Whole lotta honey clinque chubby stick which I find much more subtle.

clinique chubby sticks brill. feel too "made up" with normal lipstick, but cant go anywhere without a slick of these! so easy to wear, and moisturising tooSmile

In the summer with a tan, I wear Mega Melon chubby sticki

Otherwise I'm so very pale & wear a strawberry or rose one.

I'm another Clinique chubby stick fan, "bountiful blush" is my MLBB shade.

Laura Mercier semi lipstick in either Bare lips or Baby lips fits your requirements......

re Clinique chubby sticke - I was waiting fr a prscription in the chemist yesterday and playing with the Rimmel testers - they have a chubby type stick, about a 3rd of teh price of clinique and a nice range of colours, I was impressed and would have bought one except they were completely sold out of most shades................

I second Dior Addict Lip Glow - for me, they sum up "my lips but better". Gorgeous.

I like mac plumful.

Last time I bought one it wasn't out and they had to rummage around the drawers a bit! I hope it won't be discontinued!

Seconding Medieval or Lipstick Queen Saint Natural - both excellent MLBB colours.

Also like for MLBB: Nars Dolce Vita or Gipsy, Clinique Chubby Stick in Grandest Guava, MAC Plumful, Charlotte Tilbury Stoned Rose, Korres lipstick in Natural Purple (which is not remotely purple).

I really like the Laura Mercier "Lips" ones someone mentioned upthread for colours but I think they smell weird. :(

Also yes, I have too many lipsticks.

Also dark blonde here, but with blue eyes. Mac Plumful is good on me but it's too much for an everyday lipstick for me. Rimmel vintage pink does that job.

But am going to make a long list of maybes from this thread!

I find shades with berry or rose names working v well for this purpose. I have similar colouring to you and have more luck with berry and rose tones than I do with "nudes" as they bring more life to my face. A gorgeous one is a recent Estee Lauder one called "scandelous rose".
Try it!

This will sound very strange and you may have to (hopefully) wait a while before you can do it. But to find the perfect lip shade for you, next time you burn your arm on the oven or hob, go round and test lippie shades next to the red burn mark. The colour that matches it is the one!

Lush "perspective" here. Im also dark blonde, pale but blue eyed and this is the only one I have found that matches my lips exactly but still looks "made up"

another vote for Lipstick Queen Medieval, its sheer, not drying and looks lovely on (looks darker in the tube than it does on the lips).

also meant to suggest nars but couldn't remember the name of it - its angelique. looks watermelon in colour but gives a nice neutral colour.

love the suggestions on here, will be trying some of them out too!
