Do you moisturise all over every day?

I don't have much time in the morning after shower as am busy getting everyone ready and then off to work.
All over body moisturising is therefore down the list of things to do. I've noticed how lovely & smooth lots of ladies skin is this summer whereas mine is not looking so great.

How often do people moisturise all over to achieve super looking skin, is every day essential?

Yes have done for years I useots of different ones but my favourite is palmers cocoa butter. My husband always says my skin is really soft.

mousmous · 16/07/2014 18:49

hardly ever, hate to get dressed when the skin is still sticky.

atticusclaw · 16/07/2014 18:50

definitely not, probably about once a month here (and as a result my skin is not silky smooth!)

HerbRobert · 16/07/2014 18:57

I do & have for many, many years. I used palmers cocoa butter for most of those years, but recently changed to Aveeno. It doesn't smell as delicious, but I get itchy skin on my legs and Aveeno is the only thing that really works.
I have smooth, silky skin Grin.

I try to moisturise all over before going to bed.
If I have time in the morning, I'll use something that isn't too sticky and that sinks in quickly as I hate having that sticky skin while getting dressed.

I forget every so often...

BillStickersIsInnocent · 16/07/2014 18:59

Yes every morning after a shower otherwise my skin feels horribly uncomfortable. I use Vaseline quick absorb or something, love it.

atticusclaw · 16/07/2014 19:04

Now I feel the need to go and have a bath and moisturise! I love Neutrogena sesame body oil and its very telling that I still have a bottle I bought ten years ago…...

Floisme · 16/07/2014 19:06

Almond or coconut oil every evening after a bath or shower.

Saurus72 · 16/07/2014 19:12

After each shower, so once or twice a day depending on whether or not I go to the gym. In Winter I use Shea body butter from The Body Shop, and I buy it in bulk from TBS outlet store near me. I am v generous with it, using one tub every 3 weeks. In Summer, I tend to use a more floral-scented body butter. I have a stockpile of the most gorgeous rose L'Occitane body butter that again I bought at a L'Occitane outlet store. If I say so myself, my skin is very soft and in decent nick.

StrawberryMouse · 16/07/2014 19:13

Mostly yes. Whenever I get out of the shower / bath and I use cocoa butter or body butter so I'm pretty soft and greasy. Grin

Jemster · 16/07/2014 19:15

So how long do you spend doing it every day? I'm lucky if I leave myself enough time to do make up!

Twunk · 16/07/2014 19:16

Never!

Skin is fine.

My beauty routine consists of a daily shower tbh

iwantgin · 16/07/2014 19:17

Very rarely.

I don't have dry skin.

StrawberryMouse · 16/07/2014 19:18

Takes me five mins, I just quickly smother myself, put my deodorant on and then do hair / make up while it dries. Once you get in the habit it's really quick!

kinkymouse · 16/07/2014 19:20

Rarely. My skin is close to crocodile skin at the moment do I probably should start but I hate feeling sticky.

ColdCottage · 16/07/2014 19:27

I never do unless its sun cream.

I don't moisturise anywhere but I have great skin (I'm told this by others too).

Sadly I think although creams help a lot is down to genetics.

MrsAtticus · 16/07/2014 19:27

I don't think I've ever moisturised all over, just my face daily, legs when I've shaved, tummy when I'm pregnant which didn't help with the stretchmarks

Ememem84 · 16/07/2014 19:33

Always. Every day. I use either palmers cocoa butter or body shop pink grapefruit (but only buy when on special offer - currently have a bit of a stockpile).

It usually takes me about 5 mins. Body brush too.

Asleeponasunbeam · 16/07/2014 19:50

I started getting my legs waxed this year. The lovely beautician tells me I should body brush/ exfoliate/ moisturise but I can't get into the habit!

cardamomginger · 16/07/2014 19:54

Yes. Takes less than a minute. Use La Roche Posay Iso Urea Body Milk. My skin is really smooth and soft now, and all those tiny little nobbly bumps on the back of my arms have gone.

No. I can't moisturise or use anything like cocoa butter shower gel on the days I exercise as I can't be slippy on a pole!!! So maybe twice a week

beachywaves · 16/07/2014 20:01

Never and I have supersoft skin.

fanjobiscuits · 16/07/2014 20:04

God no !

Oly4 · 16/07/2014 20:05

I do my arms and chest around every other day, with body shop body butter. Love that stuff
