Do you moisturise all over every day?

I don't have much time in the morning after shower as am busy getting everyone ready and then off to work.
All over body moisturising is therefore down the list of things to do. I've noticed how lovely & smooth lots of ladies skin is this summer whereas mine is not looking so great.

How often do people moisturise all over to achieve super looking skin, is every day essential?

Yes. Before bed otherwise my skin gets itchy.

dottypyjamas · 16/07/2014 20:10

Same as others - every time I have a shower or bath, so at least once a day. I have eczema which is controlled by keeping my skin moistured (mostly anyway!) and it flares up if I even miss a day. Takes a couple of minutes as I have 2 types so one has to sink in first - high maintenance skin!

Mintyy · 16/07/2014 20:11

God no! Mebbe once a month, if that?

My legs are a bit dry and I should do them more often.

EdithDickie · 16/07/2014 20:11

Yes, most days. I like nivea soft as it's not greasy.

BarefootShirl · 16/07/2014 20:12

Very rarely but I don't have dry skin. If I do moisturise it is in the evening as I hate that sticky feeling when putting clothes on.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 16/07/2014 20:19

Never really, just sun cream on exposed parts.

peaz · 16/07/2014 20:24

I have very, very dry skin so moisturising does make me feel better straight after a shower, otherwise my skin feels tight. I use aveeno, though have used oils recently too.

I try to moisturise twice a day but in reality it is just once, after a shower.

TheFairiesAreBack · 16/07/2014 20:27

No.

TheFairiesAreBack · 16/07/2014 20:28

I don't even manage to bathe every day!

DramaAlpaca · 16/07/2014 20:30

Never. I hate feeling sticky. Luckily I don't have dry skin.

KneesoftheBee · 16/07/2014 20:36

No - only face, elbows, hands & feet.

Everywhere else seems to be doing fine without any help.

dexter73 · 16/07/2014 20:39

I moisturise all over in the morning after I shower. It takes me 1min 15 secs - yes I did time myself once! I have very dry skin so the odd minute moisturising is worth it to me.

chocolatespiders · 16/07/2014 20:40

I have a bottle of vaseline intensive care on my desk at work so do my arms there and legs if in skirt it sinks in instantly!

TessTackle · 16/07/2014 20:44

I use this Garnier 7days
I do tend to moisturise nearly every day but if I'm really tired/hungover/not going anywhere I never have ashy knees or elbows or dry skin!

ForTheBants · 16/07/2014 20:50

I do. I use Philosophy body lotion and it takes a minute or so.

I am off to the US soon and will stockpile Eucerin body lotion - it is the best.

storytopper · 16/07/2014 20:50

Yes - every morning from head to toe. I developed really dry skin in the peri-menopause - thought I was getting dermatitis or psoriasis. GP gave me prescription moisturiser (Cetraben) which I use most of the time. Occasionally I try something that smells a bit nicer - coconut oil or Vaseline with Cocoa butter - but I always have to go back to the Cetraben. My back is the worst area - can get very itchy. When that happens I use emulsifying ointment - very thick and acts as a barrier. I am four years beyond the menopause and things are still the same.

When I was younger I didn't have problem skin - could get away with using any scented product and rarely used moisturiser.

BellaVita · 16/07/2014 20:51

Always.

Tiggywinklespinny · 16/07/2014 22:49

I use L'occitanes almond shower oil. Cleans and leaves my skin really soft.

LePamplemousse · 16/07/2014 23:20

I have psoriasis so I moisturise twice a day, definitely think Aveeno is the best around.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 16/07/2014 23:33

To be honest it's never really occurred to me, I don't do my face half the time either as I use very gentle cleansing products and suncream, but I do use hand cream.

Rainydayblues · 17/07/2014 05:49

After a shower unless I'm in a hurry. I've had eczema from birth and have used Aveeno for 12 years now, I'm eczema free now but it's still my favourite moisturiser - I have tubes of it in every room!

eurochick · 17/07/2014 05:58

Yes, after my morning shower. It takes no time at all.

Madamecastafiore · 17/07/2014 06:18

Yes always do.

Use all different stuff it recently the Vaseline spray. It's fab, non greasy so can get dressed straight away and so fast to do.

QueenCardigan · 17/07/2014 06:44

I try to but often forget or have no time. If I don't do it though my skin literally starts flaking off. I either use Nivea or if really bad I use dd dibrobase.

Cookiepants · 17/07/2014 06:46

I'm hit and miss. Better since I bought the in-shower conditioner from lush. I prefer my skin when I have though.
