Any Shellac/Geleration fans...if you could pick one nail colour for a beach holiday, what would it be?

I am trying to decide what color to have my nails done for my holiday and struggling... too much choice!!!

I know it isn't important in the grand scheme of things but my nails are extremely important to me Blush

I wouldn't want my fingers and toes done in the same colour but would maybe like some coordination between them. Also I generally have an accent nail on my ring finger!

Ideas gratefully received as I am being so indecisive about it Blush Blush Blush

Coral looks nice with a tan..

spookyskeleton · 22/06/2014 13:37

Thanks. My manicurist does have a coral color but was planning on having that when I get back and I will actually have a tan Wink

I would like something that will look good without a tan for the first few days and then with a tan towards the end!

I second Coral too, it looks georgeous with a tan Smile

HarrySnotter · 22/06/2014 13:51

Coral!

FiloPasty · 22/06/2014 13:52

Shellac Tropic :)

spookyskeleton · 22/06/2014 13:54

Ok so if I don't want coral Wink

Any other shellac shades?

I'm not a fan of coral, especially as it seems like everyone wears it in summer. I far prefer dark shades of red which really flatter most skin tones. There is one called dark lava which looks nice. I haven't tried it but I'm wearing a similar shade (don't know the name) which is really lovely.

spookyskeleton · 22/06/2014 14:21

joni thanks for that. I think you have hit on my aversion to coral is that it seems too obvious whereas I have always been quite experimental with my nails.

I currently have shellac hot chillis on and it is lovely - I think it might fit the bill.

Baby blue Iw nice. X

TSSDNCOP · 22/06/2014 15:50

I'm going away tomorrow.

I have coral toes and black fingers.

For my summer holiday I'm having sky blue with a glitter overlay.

Sixpencenonethericher · 22/06/2014 17:23

I've just had baby pink

Crutchlow35 · 22/06/2014 17:53

Something dark on your toes and French on your fingers.

spookyskeleton · 22/06/2014 18:03

I quite like the idea of baby blue but my manicurist doesn't have anything resembling that Sad

Nails aren't long enough for a French manicure Sad

I am being picky aren't I?Grin

Nobody??

Safeinourbubble · 22/06/2014 20:53

Purple?
Orange?
Different colour on each nail?
Clear?
Does it matter? - shellac is so shiny that they all look lovely.

Catmint · 22/06/2014 20:54

Teal?

calzone · 22/06/2014 21:39

I had the bright bright orange a while ago and it is definitely my favourite shade yet.

I currently have mint green with sage green on the ring fingers. Smile

spookyskeleton · 22/06/2014 22:05

I would love teal but, again, my manicurist doesn't have that although I currently have https://www.flickr.com/photos/cherriesweet/5735574072/ this on my toes which looks good but would prefer bright teal.

Mmm orange, she does have that one and keeps trying to persuade me to have it but I have resisted so far as not sure about orange nails. May try it on my toes next time I go Smile

I have the bright orange on at the moment and think it's my favourite that I've had so far, would be great for holidays. . Baby blue and baby pink also nice for hols, and there's a really great cobalt blue shade as well that I love.

polyhymnia · 22/06/2014 22:11

I would go baby blue or if not baby pink. Love Essie Sand Tropez but don't know shellac equivalent sadly.

Hate coral as a colour personally though it's certainly popular as a colour this year - including in Italy where I am now.

spookyskeleton · 22/06/2014 22:16

xici do you know what the cobalt blue one is called??

OP posts:
XiCi · 22/06/2014 22:29

Think it was called blue rapture
