Shower gel with gorgeous scent

I'd like to get my SiL an extra birthday present as the gift she asked for is terribly practical and not something for her. I thought a really nice shower gel is something she would never buy herself and something she can use every day as a bit of a treat.

I can't stretch to Chanel-type body washes, but I recall that Moulton Brown had lovely scents. However they seem a bit passe now! Does anyone have any recommendations? Would like to use a company that will dispatch straight to her as a gift.

I second Korres. I love it. (Wish I had a Waitrose near -I'd stock up.)

wafflyversatile · 07/06/2014 21:45

Neal's Yard orange and geranium.

frames · 07/06/2014 21:46

The Sanctuary stuff (orange bottle tops) from boots is great

MajesticWhine · 07/06/2014 21:49

Molton Brown not passe in my opinion, their body washes are all absolutely gorgeous.

SuperFlyHigh · 07/06/2014 21:54

Oh the sanctuary creamy body Polish is lovely and v pampering.

SuperFlyHigh · 07/06/2014 21:56

Gwendolyn i kept wondering if it was a bad batch (I bought them years ago when they first started) I really didn't think they were worth the money! Pity as high end shower stuff I will spend on if I love it!

SuperFlyHigh · 07/06/2014 21:58

Oh OP to dispatch to her most companies dontj

SuperFlyHigh · 07/06/2014 21:58

Sorry phone... Do this. Space nk and L'Occitane for sure.

Hanginggardenofboobylon · 07/06/2014 22:00

Molten Brown blissful templetree is gorgeous it's only the hotel toilet fragrances that are a bit passe IMO.

LogonMounstuart · 07/06/2014 22:02

Clarins shower gel- the orangey one. I love it and keep going back to it- it smells like a day at the spa.

ExcuseTypos · 07/06/2014 22:07

Neil's Yard shower gels are lovely. If it is a present they will wrap it beautifully for you, in a see through bag with little dried roses in it.

The geranium and orange is my favourite.

RickyDinkPanther · 07/06/2014 22:17

Loads of suggestions - thanks all! I'll bookmark this page so I can consult it next time it's time for a treat.

She doesn't have any sensitivities so I have no restrictions in that regard.

Interested in your views on Moulton Brown. I think it was meeting it invarious restaurant/hotel toilets that made me think they had shifted a little out of the luxury market. But there's absolutely no doubt the scents are lovely. I adored Toko-Yuzu (now Japanese Orange). The scent lingered long after my shower.

Not sure how I'll choose now, but I've no doubt any of the above would make a great gift.

How about Philosophy? Their stuff is gorgeous, especially the margarita and seasonal foodie flavours.

Botanicbaby · 08/06/2014 00:58

I love the Liz Earle shower gel but it doesn't seem very 'gift' like.

Love Roger & Gallet soaps and shower gels.

Molten Brown aren't passé, they smell lovely and I agree are very long lasting esp gingerlilly.

Lighthousekeeping · 08/06/2014 07:04

What are Jo Malones like? I know the perfumes don't last five minutes on me

ExcuseTypos · 08/06/2014 08:15

Botanic I agree about Liz Earle, it's actually my favourite, it smells divine, but the container doesn't look very gift like.

LightHouse- I also love Jo Malone but although the bathroom smells lovely for awhile, I don't think it lasts long on me.

Lesleythegiraffe · 08/06/2014 08:32

I love Laughter by Space NK (if they're still around)

Use to buy this for a treat when I could afford it - sadly I can't any more Sad

JugglingChaotically · 08/06/2014 08:38

Jo Malone lovely but a little more than Moulton Brown. The scent dies last.
What is really lovely are the jars of body cream - skin lovely for ages and scent lasts all day but £££££££.

JugglingChaotically · 08/06/2014 08:39

Oops Molton. On phone. Sorry!

JugglingChaotically · 08/06/2014 08:41

Sorry just reread. Even more typos. The scent does last for shower gel but with the cream it's still soft and the scent there the next day.
Amazon and JL sell now so can have it delivered.

Lighthousekeeping · 08/06/2014 08:51

The cream is £50 Shock

AntoinetteCosway · 08/06/2014 08:54

The REN Moroccan Rose range is amazing (the scrub is my all time favourite) but the Naked Rose range is a close decor and about a fifth of the price! Not very gift like though.

QuietNinjaTardis · 08/06/2014 09:34

Liz Earle have some new shower gels which are more luxury looking. They are fab and smell beautiful.

ExcuseTypos · 08/06/2014 10:08

The Jo Malone cream is wonderful. DH usually buys me some for Xmas- it is luxurious and the smell lasts forever.
A pot lasts a couple of months. It cheers me up during the winter months.

ExcuseTypos · 08/06/2014 10:11

The orange blossom is my favourite.
