Yes but I only knew properly when I was 25 ( long time ago!) and I worked with 2 young trendy girls who were mad keen on DKNY.

bishboschone · 30/05/2014 20:11

I had a dkny ski jacket when I was a whippersnapper . I was wearing it in a pub and someone asked me what dinky sky was .. We laughed ALOT.. !!

ExitPursuedByABear · 30/05/2014 20:12

I knew but always see it as something to do with knitting.

seasalty50 · 30/05/2014 20:14

You do know what 'nylon' stands for - don't you? ;)

ExitPursuedByABear · 30/05/2014 20:24

New York London

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/05/2014 21:32

Really? Why those two cities, is that where they were first sold?

OP posts:
FelixFelix · 30/05/2014 21:35

Think NY & London were the two cities where the fabric was first synthesised (not sure if that's the correct word Blush)

elQuintoConyo · 30/05/2014 21:36

And that Yves Saint Laurent really IS pronounced 'eeves saint lor-ent' Grin

GiveTwoSheets · 30/05/2014 21:37

OP posts:
JuanPotatoTwo · 30/05/2014 21:40

OP posts:
ExitPursuedByABear · 30/05/2014 21:41

seasalty50 · 30/05/2014 21:43

SwedishEdith · 30/05/2014 21:44

I don't think that's true about nylon tbh.Think its an urban myth (like Tesco being derived from Tesss Cohen) I just checked on Wikipedia and it was just made up with the on bit sounding like rayon and cotton

notapizzaeater · 30/05/2014 21:45

ExitPursuedByABear · 30/05/2014 21:46
