Skechers go walk

I hope I won't look like a granny in these but I've just bought two pairs, grey and pink although they look coralish in the picture from Pavers!

I used the new customer code and got 10% off and free delivery.

NEWTEN is the code.

I went for the old style as the new style only had three colours and the pink was out of stock in my size.

Great bargain if they fit ok.

I saw a young girl wearing them in blue and asked what make they were. On her they looked young and trendy but in the stand alone pictures they are a bit granny looking. I needs a lightweight pair to walk around in as I'm going away for the weekend and will be doing a lot of walking.

Any one else wear these?

I bought Clark's version of Birkenstocks last week - oh my goodness, they are sooooooooooo comfortable, like slippers! I realise I have no business on Style and Beauty Wink

HaveToWearHeels · 14/05/2014 16:19

I have two pairs of these. turquoise and pink (both the old style) I live in them. The pink ones went all the way round Sri Lanka with me and were pretty dirty when I got back, bunged them in the washing machine and they have come out like new.

EasterSundaySimmons · 14/05/2014 16:31

The code is for Pavers website.

I'm glad to see this thread as I have started walking more but my feet kill in normal pumps.
I looked at walkys but they are ridiculously priced. We have a pavers outlet store here, it it worth a look in there do you think?

petalunicorn · 14/05/2014 21:31

Love mine, I also keep them on in the house. Wish I had got a more funky colour now. Have had loads of compliments too and I was also worried about the grannyish element! I might buy some that I can get away with for work....

MedusaIsHavingaBadHairday · 14/05/2014 21:31

I have the On the Go ones too.. in navy..and they look like deck shoes but are so light I can hardly believe I'm wearing any.

I'm a TA in school and they are the summer show of choice at my school as they are light, comfy and you can still run like hell in them if necessary (special needs school and sometimes it IS necessary Grin)

I love mine!

Ledkr · 14/05/2014 21:55

Sad dd has just fallen about laughing at them.
I'm still getting them tho.

Furball · 15/05/2014 05:53

and yy to bunging the in the washing machine - they come out like new

Optimist1 · 15/05/2014 06:55

Big Skechers fan here, too. I'm trying to hold out till a visit to McArthur Glen in Swindon in a couple of weeks!

lanbro · 15/05/2014 07:29

I've got these in navy and the pumps in red! Love them, although my 70 yr old mil also has them! Not grannified if you're wearing them with skinny or cropped jeans, so xomfy they're like slippers! My sister hates them but she'd rather have her toes crushed by Converse but look cool!

lanbro · 15/05/2014 07:31

Brantano sell them and you can often get discount codes on Topcashback, or a thorough search on ebay can unearth some good prices

sonlypuppyfat · 15/05/2014 07:40

I love sketchers really comfy I've got terrible feet arthritis etc and my DD9 has got some she looks adorable in hers.

Bigsooze · 15/05/2014 12:32

Can anyone recommend these

HappySmileyFace · 15/05/2014 12:48

OP -I have 5 pairs of these! Loved the first pair so much I keep going back for more.

Annnnnd I saw Whoopi Goldberg on The View wearing a pair a while back. If that makes a difference.....

So light, comfy and simply best shoes ever.

KatieKaye · 15/05/2014 12:52

I've got 3 pairs in different styles and colours and adore them. Mixture of comfort and funk!
I've got wide feet and high arches, and need proper support, so converse are useless. Go Walk are fab!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 15/05/2014 15:12

How are the foot beds? Are they supportive or just flat inside?

Brucebaby · 16/05/2014 12:36

I got these for a long holiday in Australia at Easter, wore them everyday, great for hot weather and walking (as name suggests) also didn't need to pack runners, wore these on long rainforest walks. A bonus was that they kept my feet covered in the sun and keeping scary Aussie bugs out! They are so comfy I'm still wearing them at home, with jeans/shorts/leggings, great investment. i've also washed them in the machine, which is great for bare feet wearing shoes and even if they get wet they dry out very quick.

Ledkr · 22/05/2014 22:58

I've got mine and I love them, I was overtaking people on the way to work.
Only thing is tho my feet get pretty hot in them, does anyone else find this?

Bunbaker · 22/05/2014 23:08

I have the Mary Jane style Go Walk as I have a low instep and the strap keeps the shoes secure on my feet. They are amazingly comfortable and the only shoes I own that I could wear all the time. Walking in them feels like walking on cushions.

I am tempted from this thread to buy another pair. I just wish they looked a little less frumpy.

heymammy · 27/05/2014 18:06

www.brantano.co.uk have 30% off everything until Sunday using code FRIENDS30, they have quite a few Go Walk styles available Smile

missnevermind · 27/05/2014 18:18

DH bought me home a pair of these the weekend. I can't wait to try them. Raspberry.
Pleased to see they go in the machine, was one of my first thoughts. Means I can wear them without socks.
I have a terrible time finding shoes to fit - wide feet, these felt like slippers as soon as I put them on.

HaveToWearHeels · 27/05/2014 18:43

miss you won't be disappointed, I walked for miles in mine in Sri Lanka, no socks and no rubbing, brilliant.
hey thanks for the code, DD was a pair but can't justify as she will not be in then 5 minutes but with the code I might let her (and me).

PaulinesPen · 27/05/2014 18:53

I tried some Go Walk on yesterday. Yes they're comfortable but (sorry) I thought they looked awfulConfused. I've just been looking at Earth Spirit shoes online, but I want to track them down in RL to try on first.

EasterSundaySimmons · 28/05/2014 08:11

They are very comfy. I have a high instep and wide feet. I have walked miles in each pair and they have been fab.

Looks wise I have actually received compliments. I suppose the rest of your outfit dictates whether you will look grannyish in them. I've teemed them with smart casual clothes and they look preppyish as opposed to old lady shoes, which I was dreading!

The grey ones look smarter, the pink ones washed up like new when my daughter splashed black dye on them when we were in the garden tie dying her things. I rushed them to the washing machine and they have come out like new.

The grey ones seem to be thicker material and I have to say I am very pleased I bought them.
