Skechers go walk

I hope I won't look like a granny in these but I've just bought two pairs, grey and pink although they look coralish in the picture from Pavers!

I used the new customer code and got 10% off and free delivery.

NEWTEN is the code.

I went for the old style as the new style only had three colours and the pink was out of stock in my size.

Great bargain if they fit ok.

I saw a young girl wearing them in blue and asked what make they were. On her they looked young and trendy but in the stand alone pictures they are a bit granny looking. I needs a lightweight pair to walk around in as I'm going away for the weekend and will be doing a lot of walking.

Any one else wear these?

Don't have these but love the comfort of Skechers. I don't buy any other brand now.

EasterSundaySimmons · 09/05/2014 20:23

I have high hopes for these!

I love walking. I have walking boots for hiking but nothing for sightseeing other than sandals and boots. I have trainers but only wear them for exercise.

These are a hybrid!

I love mine. Bought as an emergency purchase when my converse ripped my feet to bits on a shopping trip.

lizandlulu · 09/05/2014 20:55

I saw a girl wearing these working in a busy bar, wondered what they're were as they looked really comfy, then saw them in a shop about 2 doors down from the bar. Yes they do look really comfy and are light as a feather, but I can't decide if they're slightly grannyfied.

I have been watching some grey ones with pink sole on eBay. They look nice.

I don't understand the difference between all the styles tho, go walk, walk 2, spark.

LauraPashley · 09/05/2014 21:00

LOVE mine! Got them in navy, feared they may be granny-ish, but have had a t

LauraPashley · 09/05/2014 21:01

Oops, ton of compliments on them. Sooooo comfy, am tempted with another pair!

MsAspreyDiamonds · 09/05/2014 21:27

Try Sketchers Go Walk Pumps as they look less frumpy & grannyish.

I've got a pair on just now, I ordered them as I was looking for something comfy for my holidays.....they are really good, the only thing is I wish I ordered a smaller size.

heymammy · 09/05/2014 22:54

I've just bought these www.schuh.co.uk/womens-white-and-red-skechers-on-the-go-sail/1914411370/ Skechers on the go, they are like walking on cotton wool, seriously they are so comfy I have to check I haven't come out with my slippers on by mistake Blush

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/05/2014 23:47

I got a pair from QVC (for work, black lace-ups) they have the memory foam insole (which they really don't need TBH, I took it out and put them in my wellies)

I bought a 5, I'm a 5.5 (a 39 in most shoes) but the 5 is fine.

snoggle · 10/05/2014 00:01

They are great, really comfy. But just beware, the soles are sort of like crocs in that sharp stuff can go through them easily. They look chunky and are very flexible but the soles are not very strong. I had a sharp stone go through on the beach (maybe unlucky!)

Have 2 pairs and would buy again though!

BaconSarniePlease · 10/05/2014 00:12

I've got the pumps with a strap across. They are amazingly comfortable and I can walk for miles and miles in them. True about the thin sole on them - I once stood on cheapo metal earring and it punctured the sole of my foot, though I absolutely wouldn't let the sole put you off.

Sunnyfeet · 10/05/2014 08:50

I'm a closet skechers fan - but what sort of outfit do you wear them with? I assume it's jeans or leggings or walking trousers?

EasterSundaySimmons · 10/05/2014 08:59

Thanks for replies.

I will be wearing jeans for my weekend away.

Wearing them after that will be with jean, possibly leggings and shorts in the garden or on holiday.

I prefer this shape to the pumps. As I have wide feet and pumps do not look good on me!

I have freakily narrow feet and pumps look like boats on me Sad

and they don't stay on

HeyBungalowBill · 10/05/2014 10:49

I have these in black and the sandy colour and I'm 19 Grin
I feel like a grandma in them but I'm sick of wearing rubbish pumps from tesco for about £6 so I thought I'd buy some proper shoes and they're amazing I really do love them.
Instead of feeling my heels pounding against the pavement the go walk shoes are so comfortable Smile

flowery · 10/05/2014 11:26

I've just bought a pair of navy Mary Jane ones on the strength of this thread.

LauraPashley · 10/05/2014 11:53

Should have mentioned, they were big on me (size 5, I always fit size 5 in any other brand) so I am wearing insoles with them

HeyBungalowBill · 10/05/2014 12:04

Ooh yes I'm usually a 5 and I bought a 4 Smile

Starrbee · 14/05/2014 15:18

I have the pink ones! They're crazy comfy. I hate wearing shoes but with these I genuinely forget I'm wearing them. Have had them for 6 weeks and can't think of a day I haven't warn them. Well worth the money. I wear mine with cropped or rolled up skinny jeans - they look a bit mumsy but I don't care! Did opt for the 5 when I'm normally a 6 though.

EasterSundaySimmons · 14/05/2014 15:55

One of my pairs arrived today. The pink ones, lovely colour. I got a size five and they have room at the end of my toe but I think if I'd gone down a size to a four, the width may have been narrow. Hard to tell as they are stretchy.

However, they look great, feel great and look better on.

Even my teenage daughter says they don't look too grannyish! Ha ha

Very pleased with them and the service from Pavers.

I live in mine and even at home and I don't normally wear shoes in the house.

I've got the turquoise - They are sooooo comfy, ended up with a size 4 and I'm usually a 5

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/05/2014 16:14

I much prefer the ones in the OP to the black pumps which are the epitome of 'grannyish' ( hate that expression!)

Is that code for use on the Pavers site or just for Sketchers OP?

NorksEnormous · 14/05/2014 16:14

Oooo I'm so glad I've seen this! I've bed looking at these. I have been looking everywhere for a comfy pair of shoes I can wear without socks that my feet won't sweat in (tmi boak!!)

NorksEnormous · 14/05/2014 16:15

Been not bed Hmm
