Where do you buy coats/jackets for Dc's?

I've always got ds's from next because I find they're stylish enough
But still good quality
I'm at a loss at the moment though as the only styles I like (at next) are in green or a denim looking one, both of which I don't like.
I'm looking for a light jacket, showerproof, possibly a fleece lining but will settle for a cotton one and I would like it in shades of blue (royal, navy, aqua just not denim look) as this will go with existing clothes.
Can anyone help me please Smile

Our DS is only 2 but often a Gap raincoat from EBay, we've had a few like you are saying.

Trespass, sometimes peter storm or regatta. Mine are 7 + 5. Always buy in their spring sale for the following winter.

They're proper waterproof and warm. Don't want fancy trendy clothes that let heavy rain in .

I go for Next too but have had success in TK Maxx too. Gap and Boden both worth a look.

Failed at link but at least it's clicky!
I had a look in tk maxx but no coats or jackets for boys at all in our local one
Where is the best place to buy trespass and similar branded jackets ? (I told you I have no idea)

Something like this?

Not a lot in stock on-line but usually plenty choice in store

CountBapula · 25/04/2014 22:47

I got DS1 (3.5) a jacket from Hatley last year. They're great - showerproof, with a fleece lining and a hood, and they come in lovely prints (DS's is star print). The sleeves roll up easily, so you can size up - DS has worn his through two autumn/winter seasons so it was definitely worth the money.

This one's nice.

ShoeWhore · 25/04/2014 22:48

Gap mainly or occasionally John Lewis.

BornToFolk · 25/04/2014 22:51

I really rate Landsend for coats. Not sure how stylish they'd be considered but the quality is great and you can get some bargains in the sale.

They've currently got this or this or this?

Sunshineonsea · 25/04/2014 22:52

These are all great thank you...think I may have found the one though after googling trespass [[http://www.trespass.co.uk/kids-prime-02578 this]]

That's a nice one - we have a couple of Trespass / Regatta coats for DS but the only trouble with them is that if you don't wash them with their expensive special detergent they don't really stay waterproof.

My DS sounds like the same age as yours, I was looking at these ones at M&S...

Sainsburys is really good for children's coats.

Clint88 · 26/04/2014 00:08

Yes! I came to say sainsburys, but sometimes they only have awful ones. DS has a lovely green one that was £6 in sale, worn and washed for about 18m now and still looks great.
