I've been hearing some fab things about electric toothbrushes n have decided to buy one.

There are so many to choose from, I was hoping you could help me decide which one to get.

Which one do you think does a super job n what toothpaste do you use with it?Smile

Yes they should be - I would just check out the seller. Boots do periodically have them on offer in the UK with massive savings, so you can just wait and see? I'm thinking mainly around Christmas though from memory... or perhaps when new models are launched?

FabMum1 · 06/04/2014 10:25

I am now totally confused, which one do I get. I've not got lots of money, was thinking about £100max. Which ones in order are the best Smile

I was just about to come on and say the Diamond one, but see others have already mentioned it. It's fantastic. Others are great, but the diamond really is fantastic.

RandomMess · 06/04/2014 10:29

Sonicare Diamond is the best but cheapest seems to be £125 unless the £110 from ebay?

Then the flexcare one I linked to on Amazon I think.

If you look on Boots website there is a grid showing the difference and they are all full price so that is a good indicator of the best to the worst IYSWIM, then shop around to find them offer elsewhere!

RandomMess · 06/04/2014 10:33

Seems to be range order:

Diamond
FlexCare
HealthyWhite
EasyClean (don't bother)

Some of the differences between prices are the accessories they come with and there are slightly different models in each range it seems.

FlexCare one for £90 from Philips itself:

RandomMess · 06/04/2014 10:45

That FlexCare one is the same price in Debenhams.

Also looking on the Philips website I got a pop up saying sign up by email and get 10% off first order.

Not sure if you use Quidco for cashback and stuff - another way to reduce the price?

hollyisalovelyname · 06/04/2014 10:52

Thank you Random
I'll start saving for the Diamond one.

BringMeTea · 06/04/2014 10:54

I have the dentitex? One from Aldi. About 20 quid. Brilliant. Really very good indeed. Had dentist saying do not require hygienist after 2 months of using it. Highly recommend if you see them.

AmberLeaf · 06/04/2014 11:04

Braun oral b, floss action.

Brilliant.

Cost is about £50, I got it for £25 on half price offer in Argos.

PippiL · 06/04/2014 11:24

I have been using sonicare for the last few years. My teeth have never been so clean and healthy.

I only use the standard model, and apart from the first one I bought I haven't ever bought a new one...because they keep breaking within warranty and Phillips send me replacements...I love the nice people at Phillips!

Thinking of getting the kids ones too. Or maybe just an adult one with the smaller heads.

Hopasholic · 06/04/2014 13:17

I've got the phillips sonicare, had it about 3 years and still going although beginning to lose its charge quicker than it was. However, we just use the one base and then get heads with different coloured bands on, so bare in mind there are 3 of us using it twice/three times a day, I think we've had our money's worth out of it. Smile

RandomMess · 06/04/2014 13:28

LOL Hopasholic - that would be a lovely theory in our house but I am the only person capable of keeping my toothbrush lovely and clean so everyone else is forbidden from using it!!! In the end it just turned out easier for everyone to have their own, at least one is always fully charged that way!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 07/04/2014 10:57

diamond one is fab, I paid 107 quid from Boots, it was on half price then I had a google for a code and got 10% off

cressetmama · 07/04/2014 13:08

I have an Oral B sonic toothbrush, which is no longer available, I understand for copyright reasons. It is brilliant, and I dread the day it dies.

FabMum1 · 07/04/2014 22:09

Right ladies, I'm buying a Philips.

Tell me which one? I'm going online tonight and buying

RandomMess · 08/04/2014 17:34

What did you get?

FabMum1 · 08/04/2014 20:17

Believe it or not, I couldn't decide.

Lol!

It's a lot of money for me to spend on a toothbrush n want to make sure it's the right one. Will probably bite the bullet and go for the diamond one. Then cry as I press the 'buy' button.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 08/04/2014 20:30

I feel a bit bad for binning my sonicare now. We aren't allowed to eBay them as they trace them (or that was what the rep warned me anyway)

RandomMess · 09/04/2014 20:28

FabMum I completely understand!!! I couldn't either, procrastinated for ages and I ended up buying the one I got as it was half price in my local supermarket or perhaps it was Boots.

The £90 from philips direct should be great tbf.

RandomMess · 09/04/2014 20:28

I am very sad that you binned it NoArmani, you could have freecycled it or something Sad

NoArmaniNoPunani · 13/04/2014 13:31

We were told by the rep that they were for our use only. I tried it a couple of times, found it too violent and went back to my oral b. Would anyone really want a used toothbrush from free cycle? I find that pretty gross

hollyisalovelyname · 13/04/2014 15:37

Can you not buy new brush heads NoArmani?

MissMiss1 · 13/04/2014 21:19

Hi ladies

So I'm searching for an electric toothbrush. I have heard wonderful things on here about Philips Sonicare. Have about £50 to spend so which one shall I get?

barabra16 · 17/03/2017 02:15

My Favorite is Karmin professional super sonic toothbrush :-)
