What in your makeup bag couldn't you live without?

I'm on a mission to finally get my 'perfect makeup bag' or in my case 'box'.

I want the dewy, perfectly concealed skin. Glowing cheeks. Super long lashes. Perfect cat eyeliner and a natural pink pout.

What do you use that you absolutely adore and buy time and time again?

Bare Minerals powder. Brilliant.

shopafrolic · 02/04/2014 21:09

Will watch this with interest.
Repeat buys are Chanel Vitalumiere powder compact foundation, Lancôme Hypnose mascara or YSL false effect mascara, YSL liquid eyeliner. Other than that I tart around make up departments like nobodies business! Grin

Max Factor Masterpiece cream-to-powder eyeshadow - will have to learn to live without it though as I have pledged to go cruelty-free this yearHmm

Any of it.

frankietwospots · 02/04/2014 21:50

My Real Techniques stippling brush for applying foundation. Best long lasting finish I've ever had.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Skin Protectant Cream for my lips. Tastes like fly spray but I love it.

SecretSquirrel13 · 02/04/2014 22:01

Like plenty of soap I would say any if it ! But absolute essential would be mascara. I have blonde eyelashes and eyebrows and look hideous in my natural state!

nicelyneurotic · 02/04/2014 22:22

I could find an alternative to everything to be honest. But I do like my MAC primer and Benefit eye concealer.

Rimmel did a great concealer with a green core for blemishes, recently discontinued. Haven't found anything as good yet. Cheapest thing in my makeup bag too!

Bluebell79 · 02/04/2014 22:31

Bare minerals foundation. Collection 2000 lasting concealer. 8 hr cream

bloomingheather · 02/04/2014 22:35

Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme foundation, NARS Orgasm blusher and MAC eyeshadow in Wedge - I thought that it was a bit darker than I was looking for initially but it's perfect on it's own during the day and as a base for 'a more dramatic eye' (as a beauty journo might not say). I also love By Terry Terrybly Mascara in Dark Forest (a dark green) - it apparently has a growth booster in it and I definitely see a difference in my eye lashes when I use it regularly. It's a bit too pricey to buy regularly though.

Chloerose75 · 02/04/2014 22:39

NARS sheer glow foundation! It is the best if you want a natural glowy look.

CockBollocks · 02/04/2014 22:49

Chanel foundation
Guarlain mascara in violet (recent find, amazing)
Hd brows powder palate

justasecond · 02/04/2014 23:05

YSL Touche eclat - been using since 1998.. although I am tempted to try the by Terry version when my current stockpile runs out.

schmalex · 03/04/2014 00:04

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. People always compliment me on my glowy skin when I wear it (even with a 12 day old baby and not a lot of sleep!)
Apart from that I tart around.
